WixRacing Filters Spin-On Lube Filter

Wix is my go-to brand for filters in all my vehicles.

I've been using WIX filters on both of our cars for many years - great quality and value. Cheaper than FRAM, Purolator and others. Fits well and is easy to install/remove.

I read about this filter on bobistheoilguy and learned that wix made this specially for Mazda sky active engines. It has no anti drain back valve as this filter sits at the bottom of the engine so it doesn't need one. I like the fact that it's not a filter that genetically fits a lot of vehicles and wasade specifically for Mazda 2.0 and 2.5 skyactives. I've used thos filter several times and it's been good. I change oil and filter regularly at 3-5k

Took over TWO weeks to get ? When arrived the oil filter box was all beat up ? BUT , was lucky that the filter looked OK .

With the demised availability of the vaunted Japanese OEM Mazda Tokyo Roki PE-01-14-302A, I was in a hunt for a SkyActiv specific, cross reference German made Mann Hummel W6018. As it turns out, this German oil filter model is as rare (more common in Europe), if not as unobtainable as the Tokyo Roki itself here in the US. Luckily, Wix (now owned by Mann Hummel, since 2016) has produced this SkyActiv spec'ed 57002 just for us late model Mazda owners. I've used robustly built Mann Hummel oil filters extensively through the years (past Audi/VW owner), and I could vouch this Wix oil filter is quite analogous in built quality, as it's parent Mann Hummel produces. Until I find a W6018..the 57002 (aka NAPA Gold 7002) will well suffice the lubricating filter needs, of my low mile 2014 Mazda6 Touring 6MT.
