Sailor Moon R: Season 2 Part 2 (BD Combo) (Corrected) [Blu-ray]

As I am currently working my way through to the Sailor Stars season, I will keep spoilers to newbies to a minimum.After the Sailor Guardians promise to protect Chibi-Usa (the little girl I mentioned in Season 2, Volume 1), it then become a race to the future to the future and back to present day Juuban district as the Black Moon Clan attempts to plunge the Earth into darkness in both eras.According to early buyers, they faced what was essentially the audio and video crapping out on each other on the disc with episode 80. Eventually, this was fixed. Of course, I made sure to wait for the replacement to hit the market.Overall, the second half starts with a 3 episode arc where the Specter Sisters become human and in effect, lose the ability to perform magic. However, the sisters becomes saleswomen along the lines of Avon saleswomen, selling cosmetics and it ends with Chibi-Usa returning to the future and a special episode (episode 89) comprised of both clips from the first 88 episodes plus a preview from episode 90 (during the Super or S season)My feeling is that it was a grand performance for an almost forgotten part of the series to us in North America (DiC dubbed this set of episodes about 3 years AFTER Sailor Moon debuted in ANY format in the US) but some may find the episode with Prince Dimande forcing himself upon Usagi uncomfortable, even if you saw it differently as children.As a concluding half to the second season, it's got something for everyone's five pretty guardians. Some elements may have not aged well in this era of political correctness, but I think if a video doesn't move you to question or ask yourself to think on a different level, what's the point of getting into debates?

so like all the others out there, the was an issue with the 2nd disc, mainly episode 80 where the video craps out, well fear not as they have since fixed that issue in this box set and if you buy the December release of this item you will get the corrected box set, just watched the episode on both dvd and blu ray sub and dubbed and nothing is wrong with it, now for the series in itself this is sailor moon R part 2 of season 2, or as some would say the dark moon ark, this is NOT THE DIC DUB so serena is not her name it is her real name of usagi, its wonderful that vis media has obtained the rights to all 200 episodes and from what I hear the 3 movies and a few sub plot episodes as well, the season is much more accurately dubbed in English and the Japanese subs are much more accurate to what is actually being said, if your a fan of sailor moon or grew up with the really bad DIC dubs I highly recommend getting this as this is an awesome bluray set and a wonderful treat for fans young and old, cant wait for the season 3 arc where we get the fan favorite outer senshi, and the infinity arc from the manga, anyone would be a fool to not add this plus the last 3 sets to there collection, the DIC dubs have there charm but this redub is so much better as the plot is much more closer to the series as a whole and fits better with the last 3 seasons.

Sailor Moon R season 2 Part 2. I caught the part where Princess Chibi Usa turned evil by the new moon kingdom bad guys and Princess Usagi saves her future kid and her kingdom from the new moon baddies. This was on TV when I was a teenager. Thank You for letting me buy Sailor Moon R season 2 Part 2 from you. It's the best season where chibi-usa starts out to be a true princess.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this boxset once it was released. I've been a huge fan of Sailor Moon ever since I was a little girl and I even grew up liking the sub-par dubbing that DIC did back in the 90's. The new voice acting is decent, a little awkward at first if you're used to them sounding a certain way, but other than that the quality is awesome!A great buy for anyone that loves Sailor Moon! This is a perfect starter anime for people interested in the magical girl/monster of the day genre.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago, along with the rest of the series. Just got to the second half of this season last Sunday. Opened the case for the second half of the season to find three of the blu-ray and two of the DVD discs missing. That was sent back and a replacement was sent. That replacement arrived Tuesday, but one of the blu-rays was missing for eps. 85-89. Had to return it again, this time for a refund as a replacement wasn't allowed. I took a chance and ordered it again, and a full set finally arrived. Amazon has been wonderful and helpful throughout the entire process.This isn't an Amazon issue, as all three packages were sealed. This is a manufacturer's issue, as QA didn't catch the incomplete products. Not just once, but twice. It's because of this that I'm giving this a 4 of 5 star rating and leaving the initial pictures attached. Order at your own risk.

I'm soooo glad they're doing a reboot. I loved this anime as a kid, and having an english dub that's actually translated correctly with all the episodes in tact is lovely. I will have to say that I started watching the sub about midway through the second season, when I was younger, and continued in that vein all the way through stars. I don't like not having all the content. I loved my Vkll's. I am buying them now, so I have them, and also to show support for a much beloved series.

First of all I love the fact that it came 2days early 2nd I love that the picture and sounds are clear also the rnglish language is automatic meaning I don’t have to go to settings to switch Japanese to English language all I have to do is press play

Sailor Moon as it was Meant to be Seen!I love this new release- from beautiful remastered picture quality (though it is 90s animation, the clean-up is gorgeous) to the uncut, non-edited storyline, this is what I know I've been missing. (Although I will always love the 90s dub of my childhood, this new release adds and builds on the nostalgia and the appreciation for the series). Excellent new voice work for the new English-language dub as well- all voices match their characters, and not only do they mirror the original Japanese voicework, it has echoes of the better parts of the 90s English dub for those who are nostalgic. Stephanie Sheh is the perfect Usagi!With the original Japanese language tracks on-disc as well, it is a great addition to the collection of any fan, whether you prefer subs or dub. Highly recommended!

My main complaint with these sets is that the "limited edition" sets from Right Stuf aren't worth the value for the bonuses you get, especially with the Canadian dollar being so low. If those sets were offered on Amazon I would buy them in a heartbeat. If you have part 1, definitely pick up part 2 to finish off the season. Keep in mind that the last episode is basically a clip show/preview for the past and next season.

This came super fast (3 days after ordering it was at my door) It came in perfect condition and perfect addition for my collection!

I just finishing watching part 2, and it still is very good! I like the new english dubbing on the characters. The animation is still.great, it still is one of my favourite anime series. I can't wait for season 3 blu-ray set.
