USED!!!! (Dirty, greasy…)
I just received my grinder, which I was pretty darn excited to get (woodcarving and other assorted projects). The box was completely bashed up, but that can happen. But as soon as I opened it I could see that the parts were not packed in any kind of organized fashion. The grinder itself was dirty, dripping grease and clearly worn. The dirt on the on/off switch was the kind of rubbed-in grime that can only result from repeated use. >$350 bucks for the privilege— the gall! I am printing up my return label tonight, and heading to Home Depot tomorrow!

Best Grinders Period.
This is a HEAVY grinder for a 5". That said, there is NO comparison. The power and durability are unparalleled. This is NOT comparable to anything you can buy at Home Depot.Back in early 2002 I bought a DeWalt 4.5" grinder. I broke it later that week and replaced it w/ a Milwaukee 4.5" (Milwaukee tools are fantastic by the way) and broke that same day. My tool mechanic said it wasn't the tool's fault, I was simply grinding too hard on them for such a small grinder. He sold me a Metabo 5", quick nut, variable speed w/ an automatic clutch. He said it couldn't be killed.15 years later, I still use it professionally 5 days a week. I just bought this one because I'm finally tired of changing back and forth between cutting and grinding wheels. The old one is now my cutter and this one is my grinder.

No tool required Angle Grinder
Wow, what a great grinder. I needed a variable speed angle grinder for some tile work. I already have a DeWalt, but it wasn't variable speed and it was a pain in the ass to change the blade or move the guard. So I did a whole lot of research and came upon this Metabo grinder. Mateo is new to me, but has been around a long time. Two key features, in addition to the variable speed, sold me. 1) toolless disc changes and 2) toolless guard adjustments. I know this is expensive, but it is worth it. And the power......super good!

Don’t think just get it. You’ll thank me later
Should of bought this years ago. if you know of anyone who has one borrow it for 2 minutes and try it out. You’ll realize that investing in a good grinder is a no brainer. Well if you grind a lot that is

and it feels like marvel in my hands
This is an extremely competent tool: it runs for hours without overheating, it never bogs down, and it feels like marvel in my hands.
