Waterford Elegance Merlot Wine Glass, Pair

Have not used it yet. Really looks good on display! Kind saving for the right time.

The quality, craftsmanship and price was incredible.

What is not to like about these glasses.The ring is just perfect and they feel good on the mouth

I like the glasses but they are fragile. I purchased two sets of two. I unboxed one set and removed the stickers. I started to inbox the other set and noticed the packaging was tight. Well I ended up breaking one of the glasses trying to get it out of the packaging. So be careful if you make this purchase.

Wonderful crystal, but extremely fragile -- not like the heavier Waterford stuff. We use them all the time, even though it seem like they'd crack if you looked at them harshly. They haven't!

They are Waterford, best out there! They are beautiful, almost to nice to actually use

I purchased 2 sets. One is fine. The second is defective. When I received them, I washed them gently by hand and stored in a cabinet. At this point they seemed fine upon a quick inspection. The first time I pulled them out of my cabinet to use them however the rim had completely broken off. It’s so even it’s like the glass was etched. I actually drank out of one of the glasses before I realized it. This absolutely should not have happened. Unfortunately I am just past the return window. $70 glasses should not be defectiveUPDATE - The other set of glasses broke within a few weeks after I posted this review in exactly the same manner. The rims completely broke off in a smooth circular ring as shown in the picture. As I was drinking out of them too! I get that the stems of wine glasses might brake, but this is crazy. There is no way wine glasses this expensive should break so easily.

these glasses were a gift and i loved the look and feel but both broke very soon after i received them. we dried them as we were removing them from the dishwasher and the glass literally broke in our hands as we were drying them.

These Waterford glasses are about as good as it gets. Beautiful, elegant shape - fine, fine, crystal. Obviously, they're delicate so be extremely careful washing up and putting them away - but the ringing chime when you chink the two glasses together to say 'Cheers!'. The V plunge at the base of the bowl is a beautiful detail. Red wine just tastes better from the best glasses - and these are those. Would recommend.
