Auto/ATV CV Joint Axle Boot Clamp Pliers Tool with 20 Crimp Bands

Decent tool for the price. Its not for everyday garage use but great for the once in a bluemoon repair.

Yes it’s $20. The tool is going to feel cheap. Just be careful with it. I was in a pinch and no where local had clamps that were big enough for my cv axle. A day later this was at my door and I’m back on the road.

These clamps and the tool work perfectly. They seem to be OEM quality, and offers much more peace of mind than zip ties. However, most vehicles don't make it easy to get to where these clamps need to go, and the size of the tool can make it difficult. Well worth the peace of mind once you get it to work though.

The bands are ok but much thinner than the original factory ones. Although they seem to hold very well. The tool itself works, but is not sturdy at all and didnt really fit the clamps very well, It kept slipping off and I really had to put pressure on it to get it to grab. I opted for using a nipper instead.

Tool worked great. Bands a little finicky but got our Sonata back on the road with minimal expense

The pliers don't grip the clamp; it's very poorly designed. I don't recommend it. You'll have to get another pair of pliers to be able to press it and make the clamp work.

The clamps themselves are good. I had to trim two of the larger ones to fit my Cv boots. The crimp tool is horrible. Thankfully I have better crimping tools. I couldnt even crimp one of these using the tool it comes with. Went straight in the trash

Get the kit as the jaws work perfectly on the included bands, but not perfectly on another brand of band

Delivery time was awesome 👍 as it is ATV rally season in Canada 🇨🇦 I am repairing alot of broken, cracked cv axle boots on both quads and ATV’s. I found that the OEM boot clamps to be very expensive and of not great quality so I purchased the Alpha Rider cv boot clamp kit and found the cv boot clamps were better than OEM quality but found the clamp pliers to be a bit flimsy and I don’t believe they would last. luckily I have a a good pair and I would highly recommend this product 👍👍👍

Ring bands worked well on sealing both inner and outer CV boot ends. Ultimately I used a different set of pliers to compress the cinch band clasp (Channellock End Cutting Plier). The cinching tool feels like it is made of a soft steel. It would get the job done, but it just feels cheap. What matters most is that the bands properly tighten around whatever needs to be cinched - and that they do.

This clamp was easy to install and the crimping tool work as expected.
