Good quality lens for the price
I like this lens, it operates smoothly and has all the features I was looking for. I have not tested it yet but I don't expect any surprises. In general the meaning of "IR" rating of these things is a mystery. I do not know if this one has an IR coating or not. I'm guessing it does, hoping it doesn't.

3MP means low detail images using Telephoto
This lens means slow detail image is using the telephoto settings however for panoramic views it is more suitable. On a security camera it’s not able to take license plates photos that can be made out further than 70 feet. Human subjects at 100 feet provide enough detail where they can be recognized but not so much that they can be used for AI-based identification.

Excellent lens, great image quality
For the price, the image quality is excellent. The f-stop is pretty big which lets in good amount of light. Manual focus is good.

Nope. Lens was shipped with damage inside it.
I inspected this lens after it arrived and I was so excited to try it out. It looked like what I needed for a setup I was building. Upon inspection I noticed the box looked like it had been opened and returned. There were pieces rolling around in the partially open box and it was shipped in an inappropriate container that should have been a sturdy box to prevent risk of damage to the glass and adjustable pins. When I held it to the light to inspect the clarity of the lens I noticed a dark spot moving inside as I adjusted the lenses with the focus ring. On closer inspection by moving the lenses across the light while viewing I saw what looked to be a foreign object on the screen. With the way these lenses are set it would have to be near microscopic but that is HUGE at the business end of this assembly. When I moved it across the light field again? It sparkled like a chip on a windshield and showed more dimension to the chip that had been taken out of it. When I put my phone camera up to it to view it top saw the dark spot and then refocused on it revealing the chip making this lens completely useless to me. I had to return it

No Instructions Available
This looks like a well made lens, and it might be. But it arrived with no documentation. I guess I can't fault the seller, because after searching the web, I've determined there is no documentation. There are three adjustments that can be made with this lens: Near / Far, which translates to "focus", Open/Close which translates to "aperture", and Wide/Tele which is the telephoto adjust. Getting the lens to focus is next to impossible. Without some sort of documentation, this is a difficult lens to set up.

Needs a spacer to work properly
I am using this with a Pi HQ camera. Lens is good, very adjustable, but zoom isn't too large. I think it was mentioned in another review, but the distance between the lens and the sensor isn't either CS or C-mount, it's somewhere in-between. The provided attachment isn't sufficient. I am lucky to have a 3D printer and I printed a 2mm spacer that sits right in the sweet spot of adjustments, between the base lens and the CS-mount. The C-mount adapter is too deep.

Worked Well with C/CS-Mount HDMI Camera
I used this lens with a HAYEAR HDMI camera and it's been doing great.
