Received with a 3 inch crack behind the blades but the fan blows tons of air at the lowest setting. The cheap remote doesn't bother me, just as long as it stays working and I love the medium loud noise level cause it helps my sleep at night. Great product for the price

I'm surprised by how much I like this fan. Yes, as stated in other reviews, the remote is cheaply made. Mine works fine.The fan is really quiet. Much more so than any other oscillating fan I've previously owned. What I love most though are the different modes available. For most fans, even the low speed can bee too much for me when I use one in my bedroom. With the mode settings, you can set it to a "natural rhythmic wind" where the speed adjusts up and down automatically. So it basically will start at low speed, then almost completely stop, then go back up to low speed... like a wind blowing naturally instead of being a constant speed. It's perfect for sleeping. I'm sure during the summer I'll use this setting less often, but it's awesome for cooler nights where you just want a little air circulation.

Remote on this unit does not work. Kind of the whole reason I picked this one.Cannot find a way to turn off the "rhythmic wind" feature. I just want it to move air, not speed up and slow down on its own.Would not buy again, would not recommend.***UPDATE - 9/22/2017***I figured out what the "Mode" button does!... It cycles the "Mode" LED from red, to green, to off. Has no effect whatsoever on the fan's behavior.I hate this fan so very, very much.***UPDATE - 12/24/2017***Fan died. Complete waste.I picked up a new similar fan for less here on Amazon. Everything worked right out of the box which was very refreshing after this experience.

This is a pretty flimsy fan in general. The base is heavy duty, which is good because the fan isn't prone to tipping when the pole is extended to its fullest height. It's pretty quiet, and the remote control has given us no issues, other than the fact that you have to be pretty close in order for it to work. I would say within ten feet. We don't care for the bright red light that remains lit when the fan is plugged in ~ even when it's turned off. It's extremely bright, especially at night. I'm not sure we would buy this fan again.

I held off on writing a review when I first received this, reporting that the base was shoddy, and there was rust on the metal parts and discoloration from it on some of the white plastic. I could live with those things. But now the motor has completely died after only three years of use. We took it all apart and it’s beyond salvaging. It’s too bad, because it serves its purpose well while it worked, despite being flawed. I was also grateful for how easily the cage came apart, which made it extremely easy to clean. Bummed we now have to find a replacement.

I love this Fan my mom and dad got this fan for me (this is my mom's account) it's been almost a year and the fan works great still it is very quiet and very good I love this fan and anyone who loves good and quiet fans will love it to.

I really like the fan and it seems to be well made. There was supposed to be batteries included for the remote but there were not. I put batteries in the remote myself and it doesn't work which is a real disappointment because the remote was a big selling feature to me. I'm going to contact the seller for a replacement remote. Hope I won't need to ship the whole fan back :(

Love this fan. The remote needs to be redesigned in that the battery connection sometimes fails and you have to press the battery compartment to turn the fan on / off . I love that this fan can be programmed to turn off after a selected run time.
