Not an EXCELLENT model to build.
I had to trim some parts and adjust some fittings but the finished product is very fine.

A Pleasure to Build!
The Hellcat has always been my favorite aircraft and this model is exactly what I was looking for after deciding to build a model of it in the 1/32 scale format. And although this kit could benefit from certain enhancements such as engine and cockpit upgrades, Hasegawa got the general lines of the aircraft right, and it represents the F6F very well indeed. The best part for me was the ability to build either an earlier -3 or later -5, as parts and decals are available for both. This gives modelers the ability to decide for themselves which aircraft to build after doing some research, and not be stuck with the incorrect version if they happen to change their mind along the way. All in all an exquisitely detailed and well-molded model airplane that even 40+ years after it's introduction still holds up very well when compared to the more currently engineered kits in this scale from Trumpeter. Buy it and you definitely won't be disappointed!

First F6f and it's great!
Relatively simple but nice F6f-5 with pilot halves. Minimal detail in cockpit makes iit a scratch builders dream. Engine detail is a little sparse but it holds the prop on. Bigger than I had expected but sits right next to my Hasegawa Zero in 1/32.

Average Kit
Not impressed with this kit. I wanted an F6F in 1/32 scale, and this one was modeled after David McCampbell’s Hellcat, so I went with it. Very limited cockpit details (compared to other 1/32 aircraft). Also landing gear and wheel wells very basic. Engine and airframe were average. The canopy and windscreen were one of the worst I e ever seen. Barely visible frames, and the windscreen just didn’t fit on the fuselage. At all. Overall average for the price, but I won’t buy another Hasegawa.

PARTS FIT TOGETHER WELL!
Parts fit together well. That's rare in today's model world. And the price was reasonable!

1/32 hellcat
i recently have bought this 1/32 hellcat and it is a awsome kit, but the only thing is the cockpit is not up to date so u may have to order a cockpit from verlinden . i'm building this kit for a donation with flightdeck too. i think this plane is a good one lots of detail and excellent panlelines and all the markings to make a nice static dispaly.

Large kit, nice example of F6F
Nice to be able to choose different variants, quality as usual from this manufacturer.
