Amazing
There are so many good things about this album that it's hard to decide where to start. But first let me say that this album has some of the best music I've ever listened to. Yes, it's that good. The interludes in between the songs were really poignant. I especially liked "Hakuri" and "Kanshoku", the first and twelfth tracks. All of them are haunting tracks.I enjoyed listening to "The Invisible Wall" very much. The beginning of the song was just amazing, which I felt was a common feature for many of the songs in this album. Although there isn't much variety in the lyrics, I could tell that Ruki put a lot of emotion into the singing. The next two songs were ok. They didn't really stand out too much to me, especially when compared to "Nakigahara," the album's fifth song. There were parts which made me want to cry. It was definitely the most emotional song I've ever listened to, not to mention the best song I've ever heard. It certainly helps if you understand Japanese, but even if you don't you can still hear parts where Ruki is sniffling. The koto (Japanese harp) in the background was unique and provided a nice transition between parts of the song. It's just a really beautiful song. The seventh track, HEADACHE MAN, had English parts where it didn't sound like Ruki was the one singing. The voice was thick but it didn't seem like they had someone else singing from looking at the credits in the end of the lyrics booklet. The tenth song of the CD, 13STAIRS[-]1, had a really dark opening which drew me in, but the vocals were somewhat disappointing. It was the same with "Shiroki Yuutsu," the thirteenth song. The second-to-last song, OGRE, had a part which captured my attention, namely when Ruki says "I-N-F-E-C-T-I-O-N." Very interesting. The last song, DIM SCENE, also stood out to me. It has a thoroughly haunting and dark intro which is very memorable. What was great about the song, though, wasn't really the vocals so much as how the lyrics tie the album up by referencing most of the songs on the album. I thought it was a great way to end the CD.If you get this album for only one song, let it be "Nakigahara." It's definitely the song that stood out to me the most while listening to the album. The other songs, while perhaps not as memorable except for DIM SCENE, all contribute to the generally "dim" atmosphere of the album. And there are definitely other parts of songs which were memorable, such as intros.

That Price!
I wish more bands from Japan sold western releases. It sure beats paying 50$ for a CD all the time but the lack of quality shows. CD prints from Japan usually have better plastic cases and printed booklets VS. western releases (not always but 99% of the time). The lack of extra goodies too is missed in these kinds of releases (Japan gets stickers, posters etc with 1st printings). But hey its cheap. And it supports the band and western release label. Thats always good.

A good start if you're new to this band.
If you're new to The GazettE this would be one of the best albums to pick from. This is considered one of their best albums along side with Stacked Rubbish. Whether you get this in CD format or digitally, it'll be worth the money especially since you get 17 songs on it. Though a few of the songs are less then a minute ._.

Jrock
