Plow & Hearth 3 Panel Flatguard Fireplace Screen, 50" W x 30" H, Black

This is the perfect fireplace screen. We never had one before when our fireplace was in its previous obliterated state of plaster and tile thanks to a previous homeowner's horrifying imagination. We removed the non functional surround, discovered the original brick and put in a hearth where it belonged and then found it dangerous to leave a fire unattended. We had to get a screen but nothing was the right style or size or finish or simple enough while still being very sturdy to hold up to young kids. This was the best thing we found after a long search and we love it. It arrived with a bang like a sharp corner impacted the spring, but with a hammer and a flat block of hard wood, it disappeared. The fire is finally safe! We put some very buggy and brittle woods prone to popping on the fire and watched as our fire spewed out many members right at the screen. The screen stopped everything. We put in some more unpredictable wood with knights and sap, the screen stopped them all. I finally feel calmer in front of a roaring fire knowing I won't be hit by another popping projectile from the fireplace. The weight is excellent, it doesn't topple from bumps or a soccer ball hit to the top or bottom. It doesn't obscure the fire and it doesn't get too hot. We can reach over the grate to adjust the fire when needed or move it completely to add logs and light the fire. I am thrilled to have this fireplace screen forever!

Great product, and versatile with the hinged panels on the sides. I was able to get it to fit perfectly in front of our large gas fireplace and it really finished off the look. It came fully installed, is sturdy and has plastic floor protectors on the bottom. These probably are sufficient but I did put on small felt ones in addition. I would certainly buy this product again if needed.

Not a quality piece. Ours came in a thing box so was destroyed in shipping, but even so it wouldn’t stand on its own, screen was wavy and nothing about this aligned with the cost.

You pay for quality. The side panels are attached continuously , not just on 2 spots, that can break of easily. And it has handels. You pay for what you get.

Received the Plow and Hearth Fireplace Screen yesterday and was so excited until I opened the Box. Then, I was very disappointed. It was all rusty. I even got rust on my hands. I would not recommend. RUSTY, RUSTY, RUSTY It's going back to Amazon today.
