Does it have to be poured in the gas tank on a nearly empty tank?

Yes,Add entire bottle to nearly empty gasoline tank at time of oil change. Refill tank with 18 to 35 gallons of gasoline. Do not refill tank until near empty. Repeat every 3,000 miles at time of oil change. For small engines, add to gasoline using 3/4 to 1 ounce per gallon of fuel. For small 2-cycles engines, add 2-cycle oil as recommended by the engine manufacturer.

Is this better than spraying carb cleaner directly into a lawnmower carb?

Never thought of putting it in a lawn mower. This is an entirely different process than spraying. Adding this to the gas produces a continual cleaning process of removing gums and schlacs in the ports, channels, etc. Spraying is a topical treatment that provides limited cleaning only when you spray. If I was going to use it in the lawnmower I’d put a couple tablespoons in the tank each time I filled it until the can was empty. Interesting idea. Worth a try I suppose! 4 cycle only!!!!

Can this be used in a turbo engine, as far as in the oil?

Not sure what people are saying not to use this or any treatment in the oil. It's a petroleum-based product, of course it can be used in the oil. Even states that on the bottle. I wouldn't use it all the time in the oil, but adding something like Seafoam etc to the oil at the end of the oil cycle, about every 25-30k miles (3rd or 4th oil change) has been shown countless times to clean out the gunk in the system that can cause bad flow and blockages and free up sticky valves and lifters that even a fresh oil change with the best oil cannot do.

This product is mainly formulated for fuel systems though so that is its key advantages. If you want a good oil additive, use Seafoam. Stuff works wonders in the oil, esp on older, less maintained engines. With a turbocharged engine, you definitely want to add an oil additive every 25-30k miles more so than an NA engine. This is because the oil passages feeding the turbo are a lot smaller and more susceptible to blockages and flow restrictors than the rest of the common components inside the engine itself.

Will this work on a riding mower?

Sure. Any four stroke gasoline engine. All engines develop a gummy, shelack build-up after long use. If you are having a problem with the mower fuel system I’m wondering if that’s the real problem. Takes A lot of gas to gum-up a carb but it could be though. It will take quite a few running hours to flush an entire can through the fuel system at the recommmeded rate. Would be worth a shot. Good luck. (Only add to the fuel!!! Never to the oil!!!)
