3/16 inch Dacron Polyester Rope - 1000 Foot Spool | Solid Braid - Industrial Grade - High UV and Abrasion Resistance - Low Stretch

I bought this cord, along with other cord, to make a privacy screen for my front porch. I needed something that would withstand the elements and not fade or fall apart. This did the trick.I didn't realize the white cord had the foam filler when I purchases but it knotted just fine and when I needed to rip out sections it was a breeze.Packaging was standard as it was rope, delivery was fast...I mean like in 3 days it was on my door step. Very happy with purchase.

The specifications on Amazon say this rope is polyester, the label on the spool says it is nylon. Which is correct? I chose the polyster for its better abrasion resistance and less stretch. Nylon is still good so I'll keep it. Still a good value for the money. It was delivered when Amazon said it would be.

The rope arrvied just in time for a project to reinstall a ham radio antenna at the local college for my Ham Radio club.Unfortunately the rope sent was VERY CLEARLY maked NYLON. Nylon rope is NOT the same as polyesther rope. Due to the timing I could not return the Nylon rope and had to use it to install the antenna.While the rope will work fine for the short term this will force our club to repurchase polyesther rope to replace this rope as Nylon is not the proper choice for wet and snowy outdoor environments and will stretch more which is not desireable for our installation.I would not buy polyester rope from this listing. I ignored the warning from another review and hoped it was a fluke, it was not. Go elsewhere if you need polyesther.

This is awesome rope. Polyester rope is strong and light, and should be UV resistant so it can stay outside for years (I won't be able to vouch for that part until a few years have past though). It has very little stretch, which means when you pull it taut, it stays taut. It's also a tight weave with a smooth surface, so it doesn't get snagged on things when you are dragging it along the forest floor. I actually just used 800 feet of this to delineate part of my property line in the forest, stringing it up about 7 feet high so that it doesn't get in the way of deer when they are walking past it. It's so light that I can actually have it suspended for 200 feet between supports.Sort of odd that I could be excited by a rope purchase, but in this case I am. It's the perfect size and strength for lots of projects outside, and at about 6 cents per foot, it's also a really inexpensive solution. I very highly recommend this stuff.

excellent quality , strong and in good condition

This rope was a little stiffer than other rope I have purchased on Amazon. It was used outdoors to guy tent poles and as hold down rope on carts. I had to make 80 10' lengths of ropes with a bowline knot on each end. I used a torch to stop the ends from fraying and it worked well.

The rope is good quality and works fine.
