So we have had our DysonV10 for 3 - 4 years. I cannot exactly remember but I found that blockage light lit on the machine after I emptied the waste basket one day. I checked for any blockages and took it apart a bit to see if there was any large items inside.Nothing was found so, as directed, I cleaned the filter. This did not solve the problem. The machine had good suction, so I thought. I looked at the filter and looked still clogged. I like to think that these can be washed and reused but realised that it was not letting much air escape so perhaps the machine was sensing this and thinking that it was a blockage in the machine.I saw the original Dyson part and it was £30. This filter looks like it serves two functions. First, filter the air coming in and also filter the air coming out.Looking on Amazon for a replacement one is easy but there are soo many to choose. This one looked on paper good value so this is the one we got.So how do you know that the filter quality is good? I would imagine that a little dust coming in is acceptable as it is not a laboratory inside so a little hair wont do any damage but a marble may do. These seem ok and yes they are a lot cheaper. I just felt the £30 was a little too excessive.Install as easy, just like the original. Once on and started the Dyson I soon realised that the level of suction with the old filter was pretty poor and that I had to keep using the mid suction selector all the time. The new filter was brilliant!Back to using the low suction setting now but the suction on the max setting was awesome. Did remind me why we got this machine in the first place.

I washed our V11 filter and it is supposed to dry in 24 hours, but it most certainly didn’t. So, I decided to invest in a spare filter, but was too tight to pay £ squillions for a genuine Dyson one, so bought two of these instead. They fit perfectly and even look identical to the original one, but there the similarity ends: I don’t know if our Dyson filter had just slowly bunged up with micro sized dust, but with the new filter fitted the vacuum (on medium power) clings to the carpet like a limpet! I am not saying that it can’t be pushed along, but it certainly resists more than it did. This leads me to one of two conclusions: either I hadn’t realised that the original filter was slowly impaired by dust (although we have cleaned the filter umpteen times)... or the new filter allows air to pass through more easily, so may not filter tiny particles out as well. Either way it reliably cleans the trail of detritus left behind by our rampant Newfypoo puppy.

Good product, good value for money it’s good to not have to wait for filter to dry as i have spares now. Brought for Dyson V10

Seems to be a tighter fit than original. Maybe needs cleaning more often.Not a bad replacement though

These filters work and certainly solve the problem of a clogged Dyson filter but they are very tight when screwing into position. I first thought they were not going to work at all but after a struggle and use of force I finally got them to screw into place and then they worked perfectly.
