Well it's okay for now I bought this preamp to improve my 5.1 surround sound systems and the reason why I say systems I got two connected together to be used as one so you might as well say it's a 10.2 surround sound system the preamp would be a good addition because I thought that the remote control that comes with it controls the master volume it does not it only controls the SD card and the USB oh and FM radio it changes the mode for the channels so if you need to use Bluetooth or the FM radio but it does not control the master volume which is what I needed it for but it does do something that I kind of like it records with the SD card on all the channels so whatever I hook up to I can record it so that's a good feature the quality of this unit is kind of low but it stands out pretty good it works pretty good it records pretty good and my surround sound system sounds pretty good along with the EQ so every little piece is needed to have the system to work good but if they do make a new one of these please make it where the remote control controls the base the mid-range the trouble and the master volume too but all in all this little unit will do for now it has made my surround sound system a little better so I'm going to make do with it and it does look good I kind of like it now. Update! I have been playing the 10.2 surround sound custom system for over a month now. Now I'm using my phone with Bluetooth I'm very impressed what this preamp is doing for the system now I'm playing some days other than movie night I am using the Bluetooth built into the preamp receiver with my phone the remote control of the preamp controls the tracks from my playlist on my phone and the volume was the remote on the preamp I can change track or play the track again with the preamp remote control the sound quality is very good the Bluetooth Channel does not go through the EQ that I have hooked up that is a different Channel but the sound quality is really great it is sounding better than I thought I have been tuning it up more and more each time I use it but now the Bluetooth with my phone has really impressed me the remote control that comes with it is a plus I can set the phone down and don't have to go back to the phone to change the tracks or pause it. And even works good on YouTube or whatever I'm listening to I listen to Mixcloud and I have my mixes on Mixcloud that's a website for DJs and music lovers and I am able to control the play button on that website with the remote control to the preamp that is definitely a plus impressive you can't get no better than that that is something different has changed the game for me and this I like it more and more so certain things that it didn't do when I first got it now the features has changed the way I feel about this preamp it has made this system very customized I love it now more than I did I'm glad I gave it a chance I'm glad that I studied with it a little bit more then when I first got it. It's working great and I hope it keeps working it's a great little upgrade to this system go out and get one and try for yourself you may like it just as much as I'm starting to like it it has really impressed me now! Update one thing I don't like about it again it is that the monitor for the tape decks do not work I tested it and I'm an old school person I wanted to hook up my tape deck to it when I hooked it up it doesn't work but I have another way of hooking it up I can connect it up to auxiliary one or using the 3.5 Jack in the front for input one and I also can use the RCA female input in the back and for recording on the tape I can use the master output RCA jacks on the back they got two outputs R and L RCA and one output XLR right and left for each so there is a way to hook it up and use it but that's a feature they need to remove it if they're not going to use it or fix it but all in all it has now grown and rank so it is a good little unit I done had this preamp for over 2 months now and I'm liking it more and more so if you don't mind some of the features that it doesn't do well I didn't get it. It seems to do the job and get the job done I will buy it again.

Works nice., got tired of using my mixer as a pre in my home studio and grabbed this one on sale. good selection of ins and outs and plenty of output volume, pots are smooth and switches clicky and feels well made. Wont use it much but even tested the mic input and it works well. even a ground lug if you need it, but it seems pretty quite. I can see it working well in a pa or dj rack. worth the price, and even better on sale. for reference im using it to drive a Behringer km 750 into 200w Boston Acoustics speakers.

I have been a professional sound installer and contractor for over 30 years. I have used Pyle equipment in several restaurants and bars where clients are on tight budgets and have a lot demands for zoning, multiple inputs, and other features that usually cost a lot. Pyle equipment seems pretty reliable, and is definitely affordable. Mechanical components do fail. But our experience has been that failures are limited to CD players and tape player mechanisms. This box has neither. I bought this one for my home, so I could have a remote to adjust the volume on your home entertainment system. I was disappointed that the master output volume is not controllable by the remote. You can control the volume of the built-in radio receiver (which works great) and on the card reader input. Just not line-in, nor on Master output. But it sounds good. Looks good. And the remote does work - just not for the input channel I use most often.
