N Scale Unitrack 2-Stall Engine House Kit

This is the easiest kit I’ve built. Unfortunately the instructions are all in Japanese, no English. That said, if you’ve ever built a Walthers kit (or most any plastic models) you should have no problem putting this one together without written instructions. In fairness, it is a simple building and there are actually very few pieces by comparison, but the kit is so well made and fits so precisely, by taking your time and sort of “pre-fitting” it’s hard to make a mistake. I believe it is designed to totally snap and screw together but I chose to use some plastic glue here and there. I also did any painting before assembly. For instance I prefer a metal roof painted silver and then weathered for realism. Also painted the side flat brown to cover any gloss or uneven color in the plastic. The colors aren’t bad as is and certainly offers a decent look if painting and weathering isn’t your thing. I’ll keep my eyes open for any other Kato buildings. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly easy to put together, but takes some patience with a few cycles of partial assembly/glue, then repeat. The instructions are in Japanese, but the drawings are sufficient to keep you from doing things too out of order.

Very quick snap together building! Easily customizable I added led lights to the high hat fixtures by driving a hole for the wire and adding glue to hold them into place!

Kato quality need I say more. However, the packaging was totally in adquate, came in a plastic shipping bag and the model box inside had a crushed corner which lead to a damaged leg of the building structure, which I was able to glue together and repair.
