I didn't know anything about binoculars, and didn't want to spend lots but wanted a set to support my closet plane spotting habit but also to allow my son to get a better look at the wildlife in the garden. They work very well for both, and even with the zoom at the maximum setting I can track aircraft in the Biggin Hill stack above our house without the aircraft just being lost in a blurred whiz. The image is bright and clear and focusing quick and easy, so much so that I've also been using these for a bit of star gazing and moon watching. My little boy also enjoys watching the squirrels in the garden and at just 2 years old he can hold the binoculars and just about find what he's trying to look at with a bit of help. They're small enough to fit in a large jacket pocket, but they're not so light that you wouldn't notice them - then again a lighter set I had a few years ago also were of no practical use, so these seem a decent compromise in form and usability. As others have pointed out it would have been better if the lens caps were attached to the body, but after a fair bit of use I haven't misplaced any of them. A perfect starter set that live on top of a cupboard rather than in it gathering dust as they're so easy to use.

Premetto che sono un appassionato di binocoli e ho preso questo articolo per un viaggio naturalistico (Islanda , cioè animali, uccelli, paesaggi) confortato dal nome Olympus (anziché tutti i binocoli senza storia e con nomi da frigorifero dell’Ikea in vendita su Amazon e altri siti). Questo binocolo si situa esattamente nel punto perfetto del diagramma qualità- prezzo. Per avere di più bisogna spendere molto ma molto di piu. Ok non è un PAT Leica (prismi a tetto) ma un onesto PDP (prisma di Porro) che regala grandi soddisfazioni. Resa cromatica e aberrazioni nella norma , mostra i suoi limiti solo negli ingrandimenti alti. Per il resto è un acquisto fantastico. Ho preso questo modello e non il modello S (che costa di piu ) perché , se sono veri i dati esposti sul sito , ha una pupilla di uscita molto migliore (doppia) del modello più costoso. Consigliatissimo ! Prendetevelo a occhi chiusi (battuta).

Ces jumelles sont de très bonnes qualité. La prise en main est agréable. Leur poids est tout à fait convenable. Les réglages sont très simples : - on règle l'écartement des jumelles à sa vue. - on vise un point à regarder. - on fait la mise au point avec la bague. C'est parfait ! Si on veut voir d'encore plus près, on utilise le zoom et on réajuste avec la bague de mise au point. Bref, le réglage est très facile et le résultat est bluffant. Très bonne luminosité. En ×16, le champ de vision se réduit mais c'est tout à fait acceptable. J'ai testé l'observation de la lune le soir même de la livraison. Il faut biensur stabiliser les jumelles à l'aide d'un trépieds. Et bien je suis déçu !!! Oui, déçu qu'il n'y ai qu'un quartier de lune ce soir !!! C'est superbe. Vivement la pleine lune pour profiter du spectacle. Je recommande ces jumelles.

I had an old pair of binoculars and so I have a benchmark to compare this set and the quality craftsmanship is visible immediately and more advanced than my old set. These binoculars have a solid look and feel and the images come in clear and crisp. I was a little reluctant to fork over a hundred dollars for these, but it is a very good investment. I absolutely love this well-made instrument and they are worth every penny. There is one minor issue that Olympus should address on their otherwise fine instrument and that is the anchor points used to attach a carrying strap. The outside of the anchor points are fine, but the slot is left unfinished and rough. It was difficult to insert the nylon strap and I needed a magnifying glass and small screwdrivers to insert. A minor point, but could easily be addressed in the quality control process to smooth out and avoid 45 minutes to finally attach the nylon strap.
