I used a wet horse hair brush to work up a lather then scrubbed that into the leather. I then wiped it off with a damp rag and let it dry. I was a bit surprised to see white residue left behind but this brushed off easily with a buffing brush. The boots looked great! Super clean and soft. I did not follow up with the recommended product they mention but I used neetsfoot oil which darkened the leather quite a bit - but honestly, the leather is so much softer and more comfortable now!
