Setup issues, unclear description, Euro power cord not suitable for Australian use.
After thorough research through written and video product reviews, I opted for the Brother QL-800 Label Maker for our field marketing team to utilise during our events. Regrettably, we've decided to return the item as it failed to meet our expectations, and the product description on the Amazon listing page was insufficiently clear. My colleague encountered significant challenges in setting up the software on her laptop, despite seeking assistance from a tech-savvy partner. Despite numerous attempts, they were unable to establish a connection between the printer and the laptop (several laptops I might add!). Be aware that the label printer is USB connection only, so if you are at an event an need to wonder around with your laptop, it’s very hard to manage with the label printer attached to it. Additionally, the product information on the Amazon page did not specify that it came with a Euro power cord. Had this been clearly stated, I would not have proceeded with the purchase as we require an Australian power cord. Given the difficulties with setup and the incompatible power cord, the item does not fulfill our requirements and falls short of expectations.
