Washcloth, Face & Body Exfoliating Wash Cloth for Shower, Body Loofah Alternative, Scrub Towel, Resists Mold, Made from Agave Fiber

This arrived in a recyclable cardboard box with no plastic or cellophane. It says "recycled paper", but that usually just means that it's made from scraps of new cardboard/paper material that would have been otherwise thrown away (as opposed to post-consumer recycled, which is truly reused). Nonetheless, I appreciated the packaging.The cloth itself seems quite rough and loosely knit when dry, but upon wetting it swells and takes on a vaguely clay- or pulp-like texture. It is quite exfoliating, and though I purchased this for my evening face wash I imagine it would work very well for body scrubbing or household cleaning. I find it actually a little harsh for the face every day, but it will purportedly soften with use.The cloth dries quickly and the loose knit ensures it will not mildew or mold. You have to hang it over something to dry, though if you have a scrap of cloth and some thread you can easily sew a small loop onto one corner to hang it.This product was handmade in Mexico. The back of the package features some interesting information on agave fabric and the history of cloths like these in native American culture ('American' as in the Americas, not US natives). May seem irrelevant to some but I really enjoy information like this. Agave is quite a sustainable fabric, and I would definitely repurchase this product or recommend to a friend.EDIT June 2018: Still using this sucker two years later. I eventually found it too rough for the face but it's perfect for a weekly body scrub, not crazy rough like an Italian cloth. Two years later, it's still a fantastic product.

I have used this product for over 20 years and it is the best if you want a real scrub down. They last a long long time and they never get moldy if you leave it in a dry area. I actually add a bamboo scrub mix on to it and really get polished up! Skin so smooth like a baby : ). Not to mention it is an all natural product and it is in a recyclable box. What more could you ask for??

Great for exfoliating. A little coarser than expected but overall good product.

As another reviewer mentioned, I have been a previous user of this washcloth and LOVED IT. I was amazed with how it shrunk up and became the best exfoliating tool. In my excitement, I bought the 6 pack and have been so disappointed by the quality of all of the 6 cloths. The edges all curl up because they aren't sewn well and it scratches my face when I use it. In the photo, the one on the left is the one I had previously been using and the one on the right is the newer order. Really bummed at the inconsistent quality of this product and that I missed the return window!

I've been using these for years as a washcloth in the shower. I have a separate one for my feet. I have to be careful removing the long hair that gets caught in it, or I'll tear a hole in the weave and then it doesn't break in properly. They shrink and soften with use, last a long time, dry quickly, and make me feel exfoliated.

I’ve tried a few different brands of these washcloths and this one is my favorite. I use them in conjunction with CeraVe SA Rough & Bumpy Body Wash and they really help with my KP. The size is fine for me - they shrink down to about 1/2 the size they are when they are dry, which is like the size of a normal wash cloth. Wouldn’t want it any bigger!I also love that they come in multi-packs, so I always have a new one on hand when my current one is ready to be tossed. As with everything you use in the shower, these do have a shelf-life, but that’s to be expected. I went back and checked my purchase history, and it looks like I change them out about every 8 months or so, which I think is acceptable. I might get longer out of them if I washed them with the towels, so I might try that. I’m happy with their durability and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

This review is based on my own personal experiences. This means if you decide to purchase this item you may or may not feel the same way about it. I have had this washcloth for several months now, and this is the second time I purchase this product. Its kind of big at first then it shrivels up once you wet it. For me it's the perfect size. It's a great exfoliator leaves my skin feeling pretty soft. It feels like you are using a loofah. These washcloths can last a long time. I will buy this product again once I feel the need to replace the one I already have. There is only thing I did not like about this product. The first time I bought it there was a human hair threaded into the washcloth, which was kind of gross. When I re-bought it also had a long hair on it, but for this one I was able to remove the hair. Overall its a great washcloth.
