A real time-killer

Très jolie histoire de Hergé, première épisode à compléter avec "destination New York". Je le conseille pour les amateur de Hergé, autre chose par rapport au Tintin mais toujours très amusant à lire.

This book is amazing I read it when I was 10 years old. Now I ordered it for my 9 year old daughter .All these Herge's book are amazing.

"The legacy of Mr Pump"(Le testament de Monsieur Pump)is the first part in a 2 book story.(part 2:"Destination New York") Jo and Zette Legrand help their father to "try" to produce a Stratoship which will fulfil part of the will left by Mr Pump. (I wont spoil the story.) Jo and Zette have their constant companion, a very likeable and mischievous chimp Jocko. The artwork and colours are purely fantastic and the character's expressions drawn by Hergé, allow us to understand what they are thinking.Hergé wrote 5 stories about Jo, Zette and Jocko and as far as I can see, 3 are available with Amazon UK. The other 2 are available in French with Amazon.fr. (Le Manitoba ne répond plus and L'eruption du Karamako)These are also a two-part adventure but the French is by no means an easy task)On the back cover of the books, there is a lovely picture incorporating Hergé's characters-Tintin, Snowy, Jo, Zette etc. If you are curious about the two boys firing a stone at Capt. Haddock's whiskey bottle, then they are "Quick and Flupke."Another wonderful Hergé creation, although you will need to read their adventures in French language as they never really caught on in the UK.(Try Amazon.fr)Thank you and enjoy.
