Wonderful choice compared to hospital sling
Purchased this sling to replace the one given by an hospital after having rotator cuff surgery. Not only is this sling inexpensive and a great tool for recovery, but it also will exceed your expectations. Materials allow for great airflow, support, as well as all day comfort. Can be a little cumbersome trying to put it on alone but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. Great choice!

Velcro does not hold!
My boyfriend was in an accident and suffered severe nerve damage...he can not feel or move his entire arm. I bought this because it holds his hand up, since he can not. I bought a second one so that we could switch them out to wash them. But with each one, the Velcro came undone and his arm dropped! The main part of the sling is wonderful, but the Velcro does not hold up!

Excellent fit, comfort and ease to don/doff
I badly dislocated and broke my shoulder, requiring surgery. The slings I was given both by the EMTs and the hospital were hot, poorly fitting and uncomfortable. I ordered the Neo g and never looked back. The initial fitting was easy to do myself ( I dont need the waist strap). It is very comfy, great support and nicely ventilated. It fits well, coming longer over my hand with a sewn in hand loop to keep in good position. The neck padding really works. Great price, too. Buy it!

Overall the Best Ive Tried
Overall this is the best arm sling I have tried. I had a MedSpec from Urgent Care, then a DeRoyal following surgery, and now the Neo. My shoulder feels most secure with the Neo. I like how the immobilizer strap attaches a few inches from the end. The others attach at the end restricting hand and finger movement...uncomfortable and annoying. The immobilizer strap could be another 5 inches longer. The forearm strap attaches on the inside of my forearm as the sling is on my right arm. I need to keep my arm against my side so this makes securing the strap difficult. I wish the strap attached on the outside of my forearm. If wearing on your left arm this isn't an issue. Ill be in a arm sling for about 6 weeks total. It sucks but is bearable with the right sling.

A wonderful solution to immobilize a broken bone
I love this sling! I was given an arm sling when I left the ER but it was very uncomfortable, didn't seem to stay in place and the Velcro kept destroying my knit shirts. This sling is comfortable even on hot humid days. The strap around my neck has a heavily padded section so my neck does not feel the strap and the strap around my body keeps my arm in place so I do not use it. Instead of a thumb loop this sling has small straps you can put your full hand into and it does not put stress on your thumb. I have not had problems with the Velcro snagging my shirts as long as I line it up when putting the sling on. The most important thing to do when first putting the sling on is figure out the length of strap you will need around your neck and mid-body and adjust the length of the strap at the elbow section anchors. Once you get that right it makes putting on and taking off the sling much easier.

Not comfortable at all. Returned it after wearing for 2 minutes.
Super uncomfortable. Super disappointed because this was one of the only slings approved for HSA payment. The fabric doesn't breathe, the neck pad isn't large enough to actually cover what touches your neck. The arm position isn't comfortable either.

Great Sling for us Goofs!
I messed my shoulder up (again) and the one the hospital gave me was horrendous the strap cut into my neck and was hot (I live in Florida). I got this one because I may need surgery (again) and will probably have use for it in the future I am a goof!It is very adjustable with lots of straps! It has a really nice neck cushion (could be a bit bigger) so that the weight isn't cutting into your neck. I really didn't need the immobilization part but it does come with a strap for that and seems like it would do the job really well. It does have an inner loop apparently for your fingers most have it for your thumb but this one is big as you can almost fit your hand into it. I do wish that was adjustable but it is not. It also breathes very well even though it is black (but black can be good as it doesn't stand out as much). I'm 5'8" and it fits me quite well with plenty of adjustability left!

After just over 1 month of use, Velcro strap randomly opens up, causing arm to painfully drop
Right from the start there were some things I liked about this sling, such as how airy and ventilated it is, and how soft the material is, even after wearing longer in hot weather. After using it for a while though, the downsides started to show:* The "thumb loop" are two straps on the inside of the sling sleeve. They are ok to use, but if you don't need them, the just keep rubbing and irritating both sides of your palm. The way they are sown in, it can't really be even cut off.* The solder strap is down on vertically in the back, goes over the neck, and loops back with Velcro. The worst part is that after just one month use, the Velcro started randomly failing, causing the injured arm to violently and painfully drop. The strap itself is very thin, with a very small and thin padding, which is insufficient for preventing the strap cutting into the side of your neck.* The cross strap has a velcroed loop on both ends, so it can be removed if not needed, however, the front D buckle is too low and angled weirdly, so I ended up looping it around the shoulder strap instead. Not the best solution.
