ClicBot Coding Robot Kits for Kids, STEM Educational Toys for Programming with Remote Control, Blocks Robot with Touch Screen for Age 8+ (Standard Kit)

We are a homeschooling family, and our son shows an interest in robotics. We have had many robots come through our house, but we were looking to enrich our son's learning experience with the newest coding robot. After much research, we decided that Clicbot was preferable over lego Mindstorms. We were ultimately sold because our son could grow with Clicbot, and we felt it was a tool that would enhance our homeschool for years to come.After a couple of months of watching our son use Clicbot, we couldn't be happier. The online Clicbot community is safe, and certainly adds to our son's user experience. He is motivated to show off his creations, and learns from other Clicbot users. Our 11 year old son is completely independent in using Clicbot. We bought the standard kit, but his Christmas list already consists of add-ons for his robot. Our son is thrilled, and we are, too. We would high recommend Clicbot to children that are interested in robotics and coding, and we would also recommend Clicbot as a wonderful homeschool tool.Our 11 year old son wrote the review below:I’v been researching for a long time for a robot I like because my old one stopped working. So, I look on YouTube top ten best robots, and clicbot came up. I read about it and I knew it was the right robot for me. My birthday came around and I wanted it SO badly. So I when I woke that morning I saw a big box on the counter. It was clicbot! I was SO excited to use it so since then, I use it every day. I love it.I got the standard kit. I highly recommend it. Its worth the high price It always works how I want it to and never glitches, so it’s working perfectly. It charges pretty fast, too. I’ve also learned how to code a bit, and I love the blockly coding. It’s easy to use and is perfect for anyone who’s in to robots. It’s durable, high quality material and you can tell it will last.I’m very satisfied with how it works.

The media could not be loaded.  Update: didn't get too much play until this year's new holiday season. The battery components probably has some defects as it won't turn on or show charging after an unexpected battery drain. Unfortunately the "1 year warranty" has passed so the only possible solution they provide is 40% off on a new purchase of the brain. Probably not gonna do that for it to just last another year, so while sad I guess it will have to sit on a shelf until forever :( maybe if I get bored I will get some EE friends, break it apart and see what can be savaged.The clicbot is very cute looking and is quite well designed mechanically. The initial set up look a bit of time. Usage is easy enough to learn, but the programming aspects (via the app) are not yet perfect but they are improving it over time. The joints are powerful so some care should be used to keep the robot itself completely safe! Really wish the interlocking features are built into the connections but I can see how that would be difficult. There were some damages made due to a combination of factors and the customer services are very responsive on resolving my problem.

This item (for me) was very expensive…and it has a learning curve that will require patience. It is definitely NOT a plug and play type of toy, but it will require time (I suppose) to scratch the surface. My rating is low (about 3stars) but it is my hope that with time and effort my 10 year old will maximize this robotic technology!

It was something that was asked for months ago. Looks like a really cool thing. For people interested in these things. Was given as a Christmas gift. Will not charge. Will not turn on. There is no help online and the only thing we can see is what other people have done with them. Very expensive for not having any troubleshooting or anything.

While the Clickbot is a new product I can only say that we are impressed on every level. Our son loves robotics, and his imagination often exceeds the capabilities of prior AI robots for kids. Not so with Clickbot, he develops a new "prototype" daily and loves the challenges of coding them. Would recommend this product to anyone that wants a tech toy to challenge their kids while stretching their imagination.

This is Jason V. , I am a collector of robots, and I enjoy finding new ones. When mine originally arrived, unboxing was very easy, all the parts had been incased so the robot had not been damaged during transit.Setup was easy, the robot came with about 60% battery, which was enough to set him up and play.Clicbot has great mobility, with the ability to add the different joints and functions, you can set up the robot for any occasion. The Customer Care also records any reported problems, and fixes them later on.I really enjoyed my product, and really suggest as a gift or robot to get if you are looking.

This is all our 7 year old wanted for Christmas. He’s talked about it for MONTHS. Finally Christmas came and he got his wish. Within minutes of opening up the robot, we found out it didn’t work. Wouldn’t turn on or charge. SO DISAPPOINTED. We now have an inconsolable 7 year old. Not what expected after spending $600+. Merry Christmas.

Very disappointed, is frustrating seeing my kid sad because what he was waiting for so long didn't turn on at all eve he tried for hours charging the brain and never turned on.
