ScentLok Atom Airtight Bag

As an avid hunter (especially bow hunter), keeping your gear scent free going into the field is a must. Typically, I have to drive 45-60 minutes to the hunting grounds, then slip out of my stuff, and into my field gear. So, keeping everything scent locked while in transit is critical, especially more so considering I have two big dogs and they shed a ton in my vehicle (husky and german shepherd). This bag is a cost effective, easy way of eliminating that problem. It's bigger than you'd think, and fits a lot more than I anticipated. Being that I'm in Minnesota, hunting season typically requires multiple layers, and this bag has been up to the task in holding them all - base layer, fleece layer, and outer insulate layer (bibs and jacket). All of my gear is large or XL, and fits easily into the bag. I'm not a folding expert by any means, typically just roll it up and huck it in and it fits it all (gloves, hat and bow release are in my field backpack).Storage is great, but does it work? In a simple answer, yes. I store my gear with scent wafers and the stuff goes in smelling like dirt, then comes out smelling like dirt. I've had deer come into 10 yards without ever sniffing me out, which is a testament to the bag's true scent lock capabilities in a smelly vehicle. Obviously, I use spray before heading into the field and other counter measures, but, it all starts with the bag. If I can smell the dirt coming out of that bag, so can the deer or bear, and that's huge.When your other options cost double-triple this, I can't imagine how this wouldn't get 5 stars for doing the same thing, in an easy package.

I read several reviews prior to purchasing that the bag had a funny smell and didn't hold much clothing. Not sure if I was a lucky one or what but I didn't notice any weird smell with the bag. As for the size, I have the following gear in the bag with room for a couple rolls at the top for a good seal: scent-lok vortex jacket and pants, 2 base layer bottoms, 3 base layer long sleeve tops, 1 base layer short sleeve top, 1 hoodie, 1 pair of socks, 1 pair of gloves, head cover, neck gaiter, beanie cap and a regular style ball cap (I think that is all). My sizes are also all XL in everything previously mentioned so they're not tiny. So, I my opinion the bag will actually hold a decent amount of clothing. The quality has yet to be determined and the effectiveness....well, who really knows. Overall I think it is a good addition to have for any scent-lok gear or anything you want to keep odor free.

Purchased to store my hunting clothing and protect it from the scent of my apartment. Found it not only does that but it also works very well for tightly compressing the clothing to make it take up less space. As a result not only is it used for storage but I also use it for transport to where I hunt. Throw in a desiccant packet to assist in keeping the inside of the bag really dry and remove scents that your clothing may have already picked up. Already have two and I might get more as gifts to my hunting pals.

I read the reviews before purchasing myself. Bag seems to work great.I put pants, jacket, sweatshirt, long sleeve, short sleeve, a small fanny pack size gear bag, hat, facemask, gloves and all fit no problem with room to spare. A little bit of use makes it a bit more stretched out.Only thing i'll use for my clothes from now on

This bag is bigger than I thought which is awesome. It is a scent free bag I only wished it had a drain valve the air after you rolled and closed it. Good bag perfect for my huntin clothes.

I really like this bag. I have four Cabela's bags and a couple of others as well. This bag is easier to stuff and closes quickly as well. I'll be getting another one before fall of this year.

feels & looks well made perfect size to hold gloves hat mask things to keep scent controlled on your way. It is on the smaller side maybe hold a spring suit pants shirt gloves mask socks or use to hold longJons socks gloves hat mask. definitely nice little sun control bag to have.

My honest review on this bag is as follows: It's small. Much smaller than I anticipated. It will not hold much. At most, a pair of pants, shirt, and socks. It's thickness is also very thin. So thin in fact that I think it would tear under the lightest amount of pressure. Due to these factors I returned it.
