There is no manual and the one piece of paper guide was not very helpful. I had a terrible time getting this to work. The front loading bobbin was not a big problem as such, but that it constantly jams is. The machine is finicky, to say the least. I actually had to go to YouTube for information since the Singer site was not as helpful as I wanted it to be. I finally had to call the local Singer repair shop for help and they told me the side loading bobbin has some known issues. I am on the 5th bobbin which is finally working and the machine sews ok. But overall I am very disappointed with this purchase. The product was close to $200 and the minimum on repair is $100. desertcart only allows 30 days for a return. I wonder why. I'm adding on here about 1 month later. The machine seems to have worked out all its kinks-or I got better-and now works beautifully. No problem with any of the bobbins I am using and I have completed 5 projects without a hitch. I am totally converted to really liking this machine. It is what I expected from a Singer product. This machine has a good variety of stitch designs & is easy to thread & navigate. My only two fusses: The Auto Thread Feature is not easy to use. Needs some further engineering upgrades! I gave up trying to use it. AND The machine does not come with a Manual. C’Mon Singer!!! - How much could it possibly cost to respectively include the Manual? The tension was factory set and is perfect - no need to adjust. The large knob on the end on the plug side could use some texture to make it not slip out of your hand because it is so smooth (I wrapped a wide rubberband around it & I can keep a grip on it now).
