Q: Can be used to clean dirty carpets

Thank you for your interest in Karcher Products. No this cannot be used for cleaning Carpets. This is used for polishing Floors type Tiles, Marbel, Parquet. We have carpet cleaner in Karcher i.e SE 4001 which can be used to clean carpets and vacuum them as well.
