I actually really do like the other brand, and I am the type of person who is always willing to spend on the real stuff, but in this case, it isn't needed because Vital Earth is the real deal while keeping its price reasonable. Nothing is more irritating to me than late-stage capitalism marketing. So, just know that the magic in "bio-active carbon tech" is and has always been the fulvic and humic. It works like this... Fulvic helps shuttle vitamins and minerals into your cells. Humic binds up the trash and takes it out. Tossing in a sprinkle of something fancy and calling it a “proprietary blend,” just to jack the price up, is so lame. But! No worries because Vital Earth has been doing Humic/Fulvic before influencers even knew what humic and fulvic were. Hats off to Vital Earth for being transparent with a true 50/50 fulvic-humic blend. Their soil is tested, and their sourcing can be traced. I mean, that is unicorn-level rare in this economy! If you're in the long-haul club of functional illness recovery or you live on this spinning rock with me that is only getting more toxic year after year, start slow (I do half a cap in a full glass of water) and pulse-dose it -- aka use it a few times a week. Just to see how you react. If you aren't sensitive, then just go for it! My body is just the way it is, and I have to work my way up to a full dose, but then I go for it too! It boosts my energy, helps me clear detox pathways, and if I get a bit of a herx reaction (which is actually a good thing), I support myself extra that day, making sure I am drinking water and electrolytes to help flush it out and give my body a bit more rest. so I have weird nails and with this, they are still weird but no longer soft, but nice and hard. From my research, we're all missing trace minerals because of depleted soil, which is why I decided to add this to my daily supplements. Been taking for years. No flavor, brown color, watery consistency is normal. I sometimes miss days, but a bottle lasts me over a month. Think my hair is growing in better too, though I've also switched to henna from chemical dyes so harder to say. I chose this instead of trace minerals, which taste awful, or shilajit, which is expensive, looks more difficult to take, and sources seem questionable. They've also improved the sealing so less chance of leaking in transport. And added a plastic measuring cap to take, though on last purchase it was hard to get the additaonal cap apart from the closure cap. I just use the closure cap as I didn't feel like wrestling with it. But it does show the company cares and is responding with updates to address any problems.

Really great supplement. No taste at all. Taken during the day it can give you energy, taken after dinner can help you sleep. It's nice to boost the immune system during cold and flu season. I am only taking one capful a day with water. Suggests up to 3/day if desired.

This product is being used in conjunction with other detoxification modalities to repair the gut microbiome. Started with only 1 tablespoon in 16 oz. of cold water and drink once every few days and a few hours before breaking a daily intermittent fast.
