Cosco MyID Carabiner Reel for ID Badge Holders, Key Cards and ID Cards, Pewter Style (075031)

Not pewter. It is plastic. Still feels durable. Still looks classy.

This is a great way to add a bit of office badge-bling. Many such carabiners are kind of tacky and not really workplace appropriate. I mean seriously... you want to wear a big DRAGON right above your professional name badge? Or football team, whatever.This is a bit more subtle but still really cool looking. It sort of looks steampunky to me. It appears to be made of metal as it gets cold in the car and has a small screw from the backside going in. The backside by the way is flat. I was expecting plastic.The very bottom part turns 360 degrees so if you have double sided badge or two of them, flipping it around is easy and comfortable.I did note that the carabiner hinge is made for LEFTIES. I used to use one like this and just clip it to my shirt with the hinge. But you would need to use your left hand to do this. So instead I found a picture hook type thingee with an alligator clip to clip to my shirt and then the carabiner part permanelty stays attached to the hook-part.The string itself seems fine and the reel mechanism appears to be of decent quality. tho it is rather hard to tell until after quite a bit of use.

I enjoyed this for almost a year. The one I bought CAN be opened and so you can effect a repair. But the repairs I rigged did not last long. Considering it has the metal housing (no, wait - might be a fair imitation), this should have held up much better than it did. The spring lasted just fine - I am referring to the metal carabiner-like belt hook. The cord did not. The price is alright, so maybe just plan on buying one or two per year. I understand this is what was pictured when I ordered it, but I did not like that it had a patina-brass look; just my taste, but I would love a brass one, lacquered or not.

I wanted a gold colored (but not cheap bright fake looking gold colored) carabiner to attach my No Touch tool to the outside of my handbag to be able to pull the tool out to use on keypads and door handles then let it retract, and keep it easily accessible. It’s nearly impossible to find any that are not silver, black or colored. I think I found 1 gold colored one but it looked ridiculously plastic and bright. Not a good look on a nice handbag. Though this is not gold colored it’s a nice alternative and I’m happy to have found it. It looks nice, is well made and works perfectly.

These are very nice looking compared to those provided by my company with their logo on it. I bought 2 of these in October. They seem to last about 3 months before the cord breaks. The company provided winders seem to last about the same time. The cord on this Cosco winder is a little on the short side compared to others, making it difficult to reach the badge reader going into the parking garage whilst in the drivers seat... but with some funky steering wheel lift yoga stretch move I can get it... usually. I guess this sounds a little negative... but I'm going to buy 4 more to last me the next year because it really is a nice winder. Am saving the busted ones and will replace the cords myself on the broken ones once I have a few.

I happen to think this carabiner is quite snazzy and the one I have has been going strong for a couple months. I bought it because we need our IDs at work to open doors and my last one plastic one with a fishing line type string snapped getting out of the car one day. The same thing happened to this one (getting caught in the car door) expect it actually jerked me back a little instead of breaking clean off. Not sure if the builds are inconsistent or other people are just really rough with them.I couldn't love it anymore unless it was copper instead of pewter. Too bad there's only this and the gold option. 4 stars only because it's a little pricey for what it is. Would buy again.

A fantastic and durable badge reel. The inner sprint is very robust and in the months I've used it, it's never had a problem fully and quickly retracting.Even the but that attaches to the plastic holder is very strong. Other badge reels I've had, this part is a point of weakness (along with the inner spring), but on this badge reel, it doesn't even sweat it.The clasp is also superior to the metal clip type, which after extended use, can break or pull out. The spring on the clasp is also very sturdy and I haven't had any trouble at all with keeping my card on my person.The style of it is also fairly unique while strong.I originally bought two of these because of my experience with other badge reels, but have since given the second to a co-worker, I don't think I'll actually need to replace this reel for a long time.

I am a high school teacher. I am a strong believer that when you look professional, students will take you - and your class - more seriously. This perception fuels the practice of well-dressed bankers, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals. Hell, I wouldn't trust a lawyer in blue jeans and flannels. Sorry.So I spend some money on clothing. Nothing looks more idiotic than some cheesy lanyard dangling in front of your Paul Fredrick shirt or sticking out of your Brook Brothers trousers. So I purchased this carabiner and a chain for keys. This hangs off a belt loop (or suspender for my trousers sans loops). The chain rides in tandem. It's elegant, utilitarian, and looks much nicer than some idiotic cloth lanyard.

Pèsimo producto, se ve barato, se siente barato, no està hecho de metal sino de plàstico, es demasiado ligero, Al mismo nivel de los que dan en las empresas.Le falta el clip en la parte de atràs para llevarla en la bata o uniforme.no vale mas de 1 dolar o 20 mxn.Precio excesivo, no la recomiendo para nada.

Es platico en su totalidad, me gusto su sencillez y hasta ahorita ha demostrado su durabilidad, ya que tuve uno que prometía mucho y se me perdió mi credencial, es resistente, me gusta

Solid build though it feels like plastic, it isn't or is it? can't really tellDoesn't look as good as in the picture, but different from other plastic alternatives around

I use this at my job. I've got to use my card to get in everywhere. This looks nice and I never have to worry about where my ID is.
