Good Tool w/ room for Improvement!
First and foremost I'd like to thank EZCORP on Amazon for always offering the best deals on DeWalt tools online! Paid $599.99 for my DEWALT DCT416S1 Thermal Imaging Camera. Awesome!!! As a home remodeler / Contractor I have to say that for the price it is totally worth it. I tested it in my house and found that most of my docks leading to overhangs around the house are poorly insulated and cold drafts of air are running through my ceiling beam across the house. As a contractor this will only cost me a few hundred in materials and a couple days of work to fix the problem. But, out in the field this will mean a potential 2k more in the final bill of a project that otherwise would have gone with out notice. There you have it, the unit is paid of on it's first project! What I am very surprised and disappointing with is the poor resolution this camera has. My kids toy "Fisher Price" camera has Resolution: 300 dpi that is better the Resolution: 225 dpi that this Dewalt camera is offering! How could this be? Even do this is a below 1k camera compared to the higher end 3k cameras, the resolution on this Dewalt camera should be unacceptable for Dewalt standards. Over all a good tool for the price with room for improvement...

An amateur tool
Maybe good for a hobbyist but does not compare to a true thermal imaging camera starting around $3000 or so. Very limited usefulness

The only complaint I have is the item was date ...
The only complaint I have is the item was date coded 2012, so the battery back is 4 years old already, but I have other newer battery packs to use!

is not always useful
Great Price. Hard to figure out settings. Cant always just point and see moisture, adjustments have to be made. For water dage it sometimes is useful.

Get the temperature with a picture
This Imaging Thermometer is a superb piece of equipment for seeing the temperature and differences in those temperatures with little to no doubt due to the color diagram.
