Best cupcake carrier!
*UPDATE* Purchased a second one because I love this so much! Sturdy and the trays don't budge at all. I used cupcake toppers on this batch of cupcakes and some are pretty tall, so they wouldn't have all fit on the bottom tray (I tested some for one of the pictures), but there was plenty on the top tray to fit them. Since I only had two dozen cupcakes with toppers and two carriers, I was able to make it work. Otherwise, you'll have to add toppers when you get to your destination. So, so happy with this cupcake carrier. I have one of the Wilton ones that holds one dozen cupcake/one sheet cake and the holders don't fit the cupcakes! Even when I use Wilton liners, they're still too big for the notches, so I always had to put them on the flat sheet cake side and pray they didn't get ruined in transport. When looking for carriers that held 2+ dozen, there weren't really any that got stellar reviews across the board, but this seemed like the best bet. I'm so happy I chose this one. It's very sturdy and I like that it collapses to save space. The cupcakes fit perfectly in the notches, and I really like that there are dips on either side for your fingers so you can take them out easily. Super easy to load and unload and I didn't have any trouble with the trays sliding - they didn't even budge! There's plenty of room for icing and decorations on top of the cupcakes too, so no worry that anything will get smushed. Highly, highly recommend. I'm probably going to purchase one more since I'll need to transport three dozen cupcakes for the next birthday we have. I forgot to take a picture when I used it last weekend, but I'll come back and upload a picture when we have the next party :)

Roomy, compact storage, versatile
I purchase this is 2018 and have used it for cupcakes and decorated layer cakes, usually more than 2 layers! It is well made and has remained in great condition, despite storing it in my hot Texas garage. I have misplaced it and will replace with the same exact one if I don’t find mine.

Love how functional it is!
This carrier is amazing! Not only can it carry a cake or cupcakes (with enough clearance for both cake and cupcakes to have taller decorations), the lid is also collapsible so that it doesn't take up as much room when stored. The stand for the cupcakes can slide when the lid isn't on but once the lid is snapped on, the cupcakes won't be going anywhere.Even though I gave this 5 stars, there are 2 things I don't like about this carrier. First, you should almost NEVER use the handle of this carrier. If you aren't carrying many cupcakes or your cake isn't very heavy it's not a big deal but if you look at the handle, you can tell that it can easily break or come out of the lid. Second, you should always make sure the lid is snapped in place before picking it up, even if you just set it down momentarily. Once I was transporting a small cake to a cake decorating class and was in a hurry. I set the carrier down on the ground then grabbed it by the handle on my way out the door only to find that one of the snaps must have gotten loose when I set it down and my cake slid sideways. Luckily it was a small cake and none of the sides touched the lid and was damaged. However, I found out that when got to class, my top layer of cake had shifted a little to the right so now I had a slightly lopsided cake. SO, moral of the story, always make sure the 3 snaps are secure before picking up your carrier AND always carry it by the bottom and not the handle.

This seems like a great cupcake carrier.
Update October 1st 2015: I got my cupcake carrier yesterday. I took cupcakes to both of my sisters houses today. I went over train tracks going there. Not one cupcake came out of its hole. The tiers stayed together and in place. Don't listen to all the negative Nancys and Debbie Downers that complain about this cupcake carrier. I love it so much I want the sheet cake carrier made by Progressive! One of my sister's Grandmother loved my carrier. She was impressed when I said it's a cupcake carrier. It fit perfectly in the floor on the passenger side. I moved the seat all the way back for it to fit. I knew better than to put the carrier in the seat. The cupcakes also survived me walking down my sister's steep driveway and walking up & down her stairs. Not one cupcake was damaged. I use the silicone cupcake liners and I removed the silicone liners before icing the cupcakes. The cupcakes did not stick to the holes. They easily came right out.I just received my cupcake carrier in the mail today. I had been putting off buying this due to the mixed reviews.I knew I needed a cupcake carrier due to my family loving my cupcakes. I knew I would be taking cupcakes to my Dad's for Thanksgiving & Christmas. I like that I can remove the two tiers and put them back together to use as a display stand at my Dad's for the holidays. The plastic seems to be durable hard plastic. While there is nothing to hold the tiers in place they do NOT slide around. I gently shook it after putting my cupcakes in it and locking the lid. The tiers don't even sound loose. One reviewer complained the tiers move around. I don't see how that happens.I love there is two holes next to the cupcakes hole. There is a hole on each side for you to put your fingers in.I also read one reviewer complained either on this carrier or the single sheet carrier made by Progressive. I put my hand on the lid and put pressure on it. The lid did not collapse. I don't see how the reviewer's carrier lid would collapse from just putting your hand on it. It makes no sense. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 4 is due to the lid. It took me a few minutes to pull the lid up after getting it out of the box. I was afraid the handle would break. I tugged and tugged on it to get the lid to raise up. After tugging on the lid I don't get why another reviewer worried about the lid eventually collapsing and ruining th cupcakes. The plastic seems to be really heavy duty. While trying to raise the lid up I decided once I get it up I am not collapsing the lid again.I am actually using the cupcake carrier tomorrow to take my sister some cupcakes. It will be interesting to see how this carrier does going over train tracks. I do have to go over train tracks tomorrow. As of right now I am very happy with this purchase. I will update the review tomorrow.

THIS IS THE ONE!
I was really hesitant on buying this because of the price, but good Lord am I happy I did. This thing is HUMONGOUS!!! The cupcake holes are low enough to keep them secure and you can use the little carrying trays as an extra decorative part when presenting at your next party! Kid secure nice and tight and it breaks down so small! Much smaller than your traditional cake carrier. Love that this can carry both and really looking forward to using it!
