Works great, better than the original cartridge!
I bought this for the Silk'n Flash&Go with 5,000 pulses. I've used it a couple of times and it works just fine, if not better than the original. That's definitely because the Long Life cartridge is more powerful. I was usually using the Flash&Go on max strength before without any pain, but I had to go down 1 1/2 steps when I got this because at max it downright hurt. I'd recommend starting at a low level when you replace the cartridge. However, I'm finally seeing results on stubborn areas, particularly my underarms. While it's not pleasant for it to hurt now that I can raise it to a more painful level, it's going to hurt a little when it's working well. The Flash&Go with the Long Life cartridge also takes the same amount of time to recharge between flashes, which for me is between 3-5 seconds depending on the strength of the flash.About the actual order; it's worth buying this directly from The Official Manufacturer of Silk'n and Fulfillment by Amazon. I haven't had to contact Silk'n, but Amazon has never refused service when I got a defective product that was bought from or fulfilled by them. Also, my cartridge came in Silk'n retail packaging. If your cartridge didn't come in a box, then it might be counterfeit and/or defective. When you have an official functioning cartridge, you'll know it.

Flash&Go Works!!!...And the Long Life Replacement is the way to go for continued treatment!
(Picture is armpit after 2 treatments & 10 days of not shaving.)This review is for the Flash&Go Long Life Kit as well as the Flash&Go system itself. I purchased the Flash&Go system right after Christmas, and I've been using it as instructed since then. I did an extra treatment here and there for some areas (you are supposed to do the treatments every 2 weeks in the beginning). Treatments on the leg take some time and use up the majority of the flashes. The original system came with 5,000 flashes so when I went to reorder, I decided that it would be worth the money to get the Long Life (120,000 flashes) versus the regular refill cartridge (I believe only 1,000 flashes).I've always wanted to get laser hair removal but prices were so high that I gave up on the idea. I came across the Flash&Go at a retail store and did some "research" (reading reviews online). I thought that if this machine actually works, it would be worth 10 times the retail price! The reviews were very mixed, so I almost passed this up. Then I figured I would just go for it! I had Christmas money to spend and I made sure I purchased through a store with a fair return policy. After using for almost 2 months, I am already seeing results - especially the arms, armpits and legs. Bikini area hair seems more stubborn but I notice a slight difference. I couldn't go more than a day without shaving my armpits before. After just 2 treatments (plus an extra couple of zaps between treatments) and 10 days of not shaving, I couldn't believe the results. There were some hairs still present but 80-90% less. I wish I had a before picture of my armpits from just a day or 2 without shaving but I don't think anyone would want to see that!To get results, you need to have the right skin type/hair color and a lot of patience. I found its easier to stay on track when you space it out (armpits/arms one day and bikini/legs another day). The legs are VERY time consuming especially if you treat upper and lower legs. Since its a lot of area to cover, it's easy to lose track on the legs. Try using the indentation lines from the machine as a guide. It's easy to skip areas or overlap areas. I figured I would overlap rather than miss areas to make sure I covered every inch.I have fair skin and light brown/thick hair. I do have moles on areas of my body (which I was worried may cause a problem) but haven't had any issues - if anything, the "flash" is more intense but not painful at all, even on the highest setting. It's best to do this during the winter without a tan. I am hoping and thinking that I will be hair free in a few months.I hope my review will help with your decision and my suggestion is to make sure seller has a fair return policy. If you thought this review was helpful, please give a "helpful" vote!!!

Not Life Long
It states its a life long upgrade. That we would never need another cartridge, and after a year it has stopped working. That is all.

Great product
Love the Flash and Go product. I've used it about 2+ years now and while it has not eliminated growth completely, hair is much finer in areas where it returns. I typically shower, shave what little hair I have now and wait until I'm dry ( no lotions, etc. ) and then I use the 5 setting ( highest ) in most areas as I find that is the one that is most effective. I test it on stray hair I miss during a shave and that setting is the one that singes the hair and produces lasting effect. The bikini area has the thicker and hardest to get rid of hair, though much finer on those hairs that return - unless I let it go for about 4 months then hairs gradually get thick again when growing back in and that rashy stubble starts returning as a result. I use setting 5 on the upper bikini line area as the skin is tougher but lower the setting as I proceed downward. I bouth my flash and go just for the bikini area as it is the most problematic for me. For the most part, I can get away with doing this once every 2 months now, sometimes longer. Which is so much better than having to shave legs, etc. almost daily and dealing with painful, rashy bikini line stubble. I think this is a great product for that alone. The Long Life Upgrade cartridge is a decent price though I wish we didn't have to deal with replacement cartridges at all to save some money.
