This is an absolute MUST HAVE in any first aid kit. This is the CREAM version of Neosporin with pain reliever. It has the same triple antibiotics and pain reliever as the ointment, but the cream absorbs into the skin MUCH BETTER than the ointment. The ointment is excellent for cuts and wounds you're going to cover with a bandage. The cream is great for those injuries, too. However, the cream is much better for abrasions and is excellent for minor burns. I order a tube of this Neosporin every month. I’m a wildlife rehabber & I use Neosporin like most people use lotion. I used to use the original formula, but it would grease stain everything I touched & my clothes. Which meant I had to put bandaids anywhere the ointment went. Discovering the Neosporin cream was a game changer for me! I can put this anywhere on my body & put clothes on right after without getting greasy stains on my clothing, or needing to cover minor scratches with bandaids. It’s a good price for the tube, lasts a while & goes on smooth. Definitely helps to speed up the healing of all my little animal scratches. I can even use it on my face without causing breakouts, which the original ointment did from being too greasy.

GREAT PRODUCT especially if you need healing, anti-itch, plus anti-pain. I already love Neosporin (life with lots of nicks and scrapes doing construction work), but when I saw this product, I had to try it because my wife sometimes gets skin issues, that we don't want to get infected, and we want her to let them heal and not scratch (anti-itch and anti-pain). We are VERY happy with the results. Yes, it is very expensive (per ouch) but you don't need much plus it is one of the FEW products that actually works as claimed.

I can genuinely say it is helping, whereas the store brand wasn't. So I'm glad I invested in buying three, since I have a tendency to injure myself during seizures. I have a few large open wounds on my foot which are super hard to keep clean, so I will try to update. They are scrapes and one large burn, Right now, it is doing better at drying up the edges, sealing off the skin, & aiding the body's natural immunity. I haven't noticed any difference in pain relief, but I wasn't really looking for pain relief, to be frank. This gel is a large tube, larger than I expected at 1oz, and is cheaper for three online than in store. I'm in no way selling Neosporin, but I think it's definitely worthwhile to buy brand in this case, if you have a low immune system or allergy.

It is the gold standard for a reason. There is one tube in the medicine cabinet and another in the first aid kit. Comes in handy for life's little occurrences. I have skin allergies and have no reaction to this product.
