Different format but still beautiful work
It's beautifully drawn and lovely thick paper. single sided images so you can use whatever colouring medium you want without worry of sacrificing an image on the reverse. as others have said if you do a quick Google there is a video flick through by Johanna herself explaining why they are perforated pages. I'll probably leave my colourings in the book, but it's nice to have the option of removing them easily to frame as decorations. Yes it's less detailed than her other books but I think that makes a nice change, some of her pictures take forever to colour and its not long until Christmas so I stand a chance of being able to colour a few before then lol. I was looking forward to this book for ages and I'm not disappointed but I did watch the video flick through she did so I knew exactly what I was getting maybe if you aren't sure that would be a good thing to do before purchasing :) there are printed repeats in this book but as Johanna has explained it's to avoid the pages being completely blank so you can colour them if you wish but they're really just there to avoid blank pages and to help it look prettier

A lovely addition to the collection.
I have all of Johanna's colouring books and I had pre-ordered this Christmas book as soon as I was able to.I'm quite surprised at some of the negative reviews here, the paper is lovely, and the pictures are great. She has catered for a wide audience with both large images that have spaces and more detailed pictures.Personally, I think it's lovely and am enjoying colouring these festive pictures in just as much as the other books of hers I have had. (I'm no "artist", either, just a mediocre colouring fan).If you want to look at the images before you buy then there are some good reviews with pictures of the pages, or Johanna did a flip through video on facebook that's still available.I hope you buy it and enjoy it!!

Very happy with my book!
I've read several negative reviews, but I'm really happy with my book. I'm not one of the amazing colourists who produce stunning works of art, just a very average colourer who does so for fun and relaxation, and I feel as though this book caters for me as well as the more advanced artists. Whilst it's true that this book is different from the others in several ways, Johanna has stated all along that it was going to be. There are many posts and videos about this book out there, that anyone who knows her name can find in a minute or two. I knew what I was buying long before I clicked the purchase button, and I'm not at all disappointed. The designs themselves are lovely, as you'd expect from Johanna. There is still some very detailed work but a lot of the pages are less fussy than the other books, which is great for anyone who has trouble seeing very tiny areas well. Personally I don't mind a move away from her signature foilage and highly detailed designs. I have four other books of hers with those elements to enjoy! This is a beautiful book with gorgeous artwork printed on good quality paper. Can't wait to get started!

Beautiful traditional and contemporary Christmas images.
I love Johanna's books and eagerly awaited this one. Each page has a perforated edge so page can be removed if required. I always use Staedtler pens and pencils for my colouring and there has been no bleed through to the other side. On the reverse of each design is a lighter sketch design, which acts as a buffer in case there is a bleed through. It is not like a main design but more of a page filler - this means there are less 'main images' to colour but some are jam packed with detail and will take ages to complete. The paper is great quality and is a lovely off white / cream colour which highlights any colour added to it.I'm excited to see what Johanna comes up with next!

Festive but simple
This colouring book won't be for everyone but I think it's pretty good. The images are more simplistic when compared with Johanna's other books so there is no intricate colouring to complete inside. Due to this, it makes it a good buy for children too. For any other time of the year I would find the designs a little too sparse, but at Christmas it's a nice easy colouring project that should give me no problem completing by January 1st.The paper quality is not as good as previous books which is a shame. The pages are white instead of the cream and the felt tips I used bled straight through. Watercolours were fine though. There were some designs included such as the owl which has made several appearances in Johanna's previous works so it's not a completely new edition of drawings. It felt a bit like it was rushed out and a few odd old designs were thrown in to make up the numbers.Pages are perforated so they can easily be removed and one sided with a full page pattern on the back.Overall conclusion - a good colouring in book for christmas but not for those who enjoy intricate designs.

Beautiful & Relaxing
Like many of her other books, this one is beautifully illustrated. It’s been years since I did some colouring to wind down, and this has been great

Quality
The colouring pages are Really cute.Perfect for adults or teens as the pictures are detailed and not childish. Also the paper itself is thick ,durable and really good quality which I did not expect so. As well as this doted lines can be found to pull pages out easy without ripping them so perfect for sharing between people. Couldn’t really find fault with mine
