Avendo esperienza ultradecennale come paziente a cui viene prelevato il dna in ospedali e centri ricerche, sia in italia che nel mondo, ero molto incuriosito da cosa potesse uscire da un test del genere. Non mi aspettavo che trovassero la mia malattia rara, e nemmeno l'altra malattia, molto seria e abbastanza diffusa che mi dovrò portare con me fino alla fine dei miei giorni... Non l'hanno trovate, ma devo dire che hanno dimostrato enorme professionalità per cercare di capire come trovare una soluzione per le loro future analisi. Sono rimasto favorevolmente impressionato, tutta la mia stima a questo team di ricerca. Dal punto di vista della procedura, è molto meglio di quanto letto nelle recensioni precedenti alla mia: il cofanetto arriva con tutte le istruzioni per sputacchiare nel boccino la propria saliva, fino al livello necessario. all'interno del confanetto c'è la custodia per rispedire tutto. Basta scrivere due righe a tellmegen che risponde subito con il codice di spedizione. con quello si va in posta (o in un centro convenzionato con tellmegen, è molto capillare, praticamente molti dei bar tabacchi possono farlo). Non si paga nulla, non è vero che si debba spendere un euro per la spedizione, lo assicuro. Spedito si scrive nuovamente a tellmegen che il pacco è stato spedito. io ho fatto l'ordine il 9 novembre. considerando il tempo perchè mi fosse consegnato, e poi una settimanella abbondante prima che facessi il test e lo portassi in tabaccheria (e il tempo necessario affinchè il pacchettino arrivasse a tellmegen), sono stati velocissimi. forse troppo.... questo è il dubbio. peccato perchè alla base queste aziende hanno la possibilità di speculare su un bisogno dell'utente di andare a fondo sulla propria salute. io la mia la conosco già e bene, ma avevo la minima aspettativa di capire a livello di nutrizione e di farmacologia (oltrechè sull'aspetto origine geografica ma per questo tema ci sono test più focalizzati) qualcosa in più del mio organismo.

Der Test auf die Gendispositionen hat deutlich über meine Erwartungen hinaus Übereinstimmungen mit meinen Lebenserfahrungen ergeben. So hatte ich vor allem in Kindheit und Jugend sehr stark an Neurodermitis gelitten: Der Gentest ergibt eine hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für Neurodermitis, mehr als 97 % der Nutzer. Noch heute muss ich daher auf ausreichend Schlaf achten: Der Gentest bescheinigt eine hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für eine hohe Schlafdauer. Benötige im Schnitt acht Stunden. Hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für hohen TSH-Spiegel (Schilddrüse) ? Ja, das hatte ich vor Jahren bei entsprechenden hausärztlichen Untersuchungen. Wahrscheinlichkeit für hohe Statur ? Ja, bin 1,90 m. Body-Mass-Index: Hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit nach den Genen für niedrigen BMI ? Ja, ist so, kann fast "futtern", wie ich will, vergleichsweise natürlich. Des weiteren ergaben sich entsprechende Genwerte für überdurchschnittliche Muskelregeneration, erhöhte Ausdauer ("Beständigkeit des fötalen Hämoglobinniveaus"), schnellere Erholung von belastungsbedingten Muskelschäden sowie die Gendaten zur muskulären Ausdauer - auch dies entspricht eins zu eins meinem Sportlerleben, zuletzt bei Marathon- und Ultramarathonläufen (bis zu 73 km). Dazu passend eine gute Lunge: Laut Gentest geringere Wahrscheinlichkeit für eine Chronisch Obstruktive Lungenerkrankung (COPD) als bei 99% (!!!) der Nutzer; außerdem leichter Trend zu geringerem Risiko für Asthma. Passt ... Eher geringe Disposition für Kopfschmerzen & Migräne ? Entspricht meiner Erfahrung, mit inzwischen 54 Jahren ... (dafür Zahnschmerzen, egal). Die Blutgruppenwahrscheinlichkeit war ebenfalls zutreffend ... Hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für gute Infektionsabwehr ? Seit Jahren kaum Erkältungen, Grippe, wenn, dann relativ schnell bewältigt. Persönlich interessant für die Zukunft war etwa noch ein geringeres Risiko für grauen Star und Typ2-Diabetes; auch etliche andere Informationen waren für mich aufschlussreich, so dass ich mich entsprechend darauf einstellen kann, durch entsprechende Lebensweise eventuelle Risiken aus den Gendispositionen vermindern kann. Last but not at least bescheinigt mir der Gentest - wie schmeichelhaft -eine hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit für geistige Agilität sowie hohe kognitive Fähigkeiten, etwa bei der Logik ... dies entspräche meinem Faible für Mathematik, entsprechenden Leistungen, dem schnellen Kopfrechnen und dem Faible für mathematische Rätsel, Logikspiele wie Schach, "wissenschaftliche Genauigkeit", Interesse an Problemlösungen auf dem Logikwege ... Kein Zweifel, dass der Gentest auch hier völlig richtig liegt. ;-) FAZIT: Insgesamt hat der Test meine Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen; insbesondere hätte ich nicht eine solch große Übereinstimmung von Gendisposition und persönlicher Lebenserfahrung erwartet (ist ja nicht zwingend!). Der Test ist mir sehr nützlich, auch für die Zukunft. Man ist zufrieden. ;-)
