Very powerful, compact, quiet, looks very well made.
I only used it for 3 minutes, and it will be used for thousand of hours or more. Love this sander. Has equivalent power of the 1.5 HP 6x48 belt sander we have at work. I purchased this 4x36 belt sander because its for personal use at home. Its quiet and very powerful. Will be using this alot. From what it used it for, i would give it 10 stars. Very well built, powerful and compact easy to use, put together in 2 minutes Thank you Bucktool.

Definitely the Best
This is definitely the best bench sander I’ve ever owned. Quality built, smooth operation, doesn’t bog down like the other belt driven ones do. Makes quick work of sanding projects and vacuum hooked right up and kept everything clean.

Decent
Seems like a solid basic stationary belt sander, a decent value. Ask me again in 20 years, see if it lasts like my previous one...

Fixes my least favorite activity
Solid belt sander - sanding is easily my least favorite task on any project. I mainly wanted the belt sander to give me a flat surface to sand on for brushing metal flat bar. A number of the parts are available for purchase, which is useful in the event I break anything.

Very well built and a good amount of power!
I recently purchased the Bucktool 4 Inch Belt Sander, and I must say, it's been a game-changer in my workshop. One of the standout features for me is its direct drive system. Unlike traditional belt sanders, the direct drive ensures consistent power delivery which is great for my students who tend to put a little more pressure than they sometimes should! Speaking of power, this sander packs quite a punch. Whether I'm smoothing out rough surfaces or shaping wood, it handles the job with ease. Plus, its solid construction speaks volumes a Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Bucktool sander. It's efficient, powerful, and built to last. If you're in the market for a reliable belt sander, this one definitely deserves consideration.

Power, stability, love it.
I put a 36 grit ceramic belt on it for inital profiling of vintage axes, some of them of steel alloys in the upper Rockwell 50s, too frustrating to do with files. It's heavy and stays put. I like the security no matter how I position it. Stays firm. NOT crazy about the miter attachments, which are sloppy in the slots, but you know what? I can make those work. Not a deal breaker. Main thing I was worried about was if it had the power it was rated as having. It sure does! Powerful belt sander. Been using it pretty much nonstop since I got it. One thing: I have not yet tried the vacuum hookup, but really should have. Got a mess on its dedicated workbench now. And yep, found out that when you're grinding steel, wear a facemask. Your nostrils will be lined with metal filings if you don't. Did that the first time only. Weaing a mask now while using it. Unpleasant and probably, of course, unhealthy. Include a 3M cartrridge mask or the like when you buy this. Haven't tested the vacuum setup yet, but I'm going to suggest I wouldn't trust any vacuum system to keep you from breathing metal dust. Get a mask.

Good value and very pleased with this sander.
I found this sander to be a nice upgrade from my older one. Some reviews were mentioning when tightening down the tables you needed to compensate so it would end up in the angle one wants. This was happening only for the belt table on this unit. Easy remedy, I just cleaned the surfaces and (cut from a 5" disc) applied paper backed PSA 150#. Locks right in place now. Additionally, tracking works fine, very low noise level, .003 face runout on disc, solid operation and nice to have dust ports.

Powerful and versatile
Pro's The sander packs a lot of punch for your sanding needs. The Belt is easy to change The sander is light enough to move from one location to another but heavy enough to remain in place during use Con's There is a dust port for the belt and another one for the disk. The table remains 3/16" from the belt preventing you from sanding thin items The sander is noisier than expected.

Great belt sander for amateur builders. Easy to put the attachments on. And easy to adjust. Switching belts was also pretty straight forward. The dial to adjust the belt position makes it simple to keep the belt alignment. I would rate this 5* as it is a workhorse but if I spent more money I would have expected some refinements. Overall happy with the products. Cons. The adjustable tables don’t always stay at the set degree. So I’ve had to make sure they were in the right position multiple times throughout my sanding project. Sadly this messed up 2 pieces I was working on. So now I check to make sure the angle is where I need it. Also don’t trust the guides. They are just screwed on, and move around. The dust collection is a little awkward but not sure what else could be done.

Shopped around a lot for one of these. I use them in my shop for cutting board sides. For the money I am very impressed. Build quality and appearance are very solid and old school. Power is very good. Only critique I have is the belt bend angle adjustment is not as easy as others. I would give this a strong 4/5. Buy it

I like to use the belts anders in a horizontal position not vertical so when I do that the switch is on the back side which is not the best but I'll make it work...when I hv to sand a longer piece I hv to take off the work table n take off the dust collector...I'll see how this works....the roller at the non-drive end is cheap plastic n wore out in two months. Very cheaply made. I replaced the roller with a metal one from one of my old machines...much better now...
