Excellent, Authentic and REAL olive oil
Our family of three also visited the grower of these olives in Spain (not Portugal as another reviewer said).This olive oil is excellent and, importantly, it is REAL olive oil. It is a family-run operation (or was when we visited). We buy it because it tastes great, is organically grown (some of their olives are not organic and you can get conventional olive oil from them, too), and brings back great memories of our trip to Spain.They also make a non-organic orange flavored olive oil, which is the kind to put on chocolate ice cream, and it is AMAZING, too!All of the times I've purchased it from Markey's it has not been past the expiration date. (I'm not saying it wasn't for other buyers, but we've been purchasing it from them for at least seven years and have not had that problem).I highly recommend this olive oil. It tastes that good and is authentic.

Past the “best before date”
This olive oil is truly delicious and I’ve purchased many times in the past, but this purchase was most disappointing. Both bottles have “best before” dates of 09/2019 and I received them on 1/28/2020. Amazon says not returnable. Hey Markys, what will you do to take care of your poor quality control?? I’ll update my review if the issue gets addressed. Otherwise, be aware you may get an out of date product.

Excellent olive oil
We actually visited the Basilippo olive farm in Spain where this product is made. The family-owned company takes the utmost pride and care in growing and producing this top quality olive oil. It is light, fresh, and clean on the palette and pairs well with any food you would use olive oil with. At the farm, we did a taste test of the various flavors of olive oil produced there and were instructed to pour this particular one over ice cream! It was insanely delicious!!!

How can you go wrong with Spanish Olive Oil? The taste is light and fresh. As an added bonus - the bottle it comes in is beautiful!
