My son needed this for a book report he enjoyed it

I haven’t watched a lot of basketball in my life. I am grateful to have seen a few Trail Blazer games in person, but that is the extent of my basketball watching (Yes, I know Vince hasn’t been with the Trail Blazers). Still, picking up this book made me think that I am really missing out.A lot of the theme of this book, a season by season account, didn’t connect me to the story. What I got was how Vince Carter was this hidden gem of the NBA rose to become a star and then fell to earth. Instead of retiring, he kept pushing forward and the book ends on a great note.The personal life didn’t interest me as much as how the individual decision of one man ended up changing the fate of multiple franchises. I think that’s very cool and it is what sports are all about: Making the individual decisions that make or break the game.
