I think I'm a Honeywell customer for life
The first air cleaner I bought was also a Honeywell, a Quiet Clean. At the time my allergies were so bad b/c of some mold somewhere in the vicinity of my house that every time it rained I had to lay on the couch with a wet rag over my face the next day. The Quiet Clean did the trick for my main living area within days. I was frankly shocked at how well it worked. Later I bought an air cleaner that had five stages (not Honeywell), pre-filter, odor filter, HEPA, electrostatic, and UV. For whatever reason it made my allergies a lot worse. I scrapped that cleaner and bought this one when I moved to my new house b/c I need to clean a large room. It's great. The air is clean and soft. It cleans the smoke smell from my house within a couple hours of someone smoking here. The unit itself is a little more aesthetically pleasing compared to the Quiet Clean. Honeywell's electrostatic filters are so easy to clean and the units run very quietly which also makes them great for using as fans and for moving air around so it isn't stagnate.

sanitized like how it smells when i walk into my Allergy ...
I use this everyday in my bedroom and i notice the difference very quickly - the air smells.... sanitized like how it smells when i walk into my Allergy doc's office who has a different air cleaner running all day in their lobby. It is relatively quiet - on the lowest setting it gives off a gentle hum and the LED lights are a useful touch under bedside lighting when finding controls and features. The great thing about this brand is the permanent filter and the ease of cleaning. Overall it looks good, is not very tall and is energy star rated for all day use. So far the oscillating function works although I've noticed it get "sticky" after about a week or two - leading to that repetitive "creaking" albeit quiet creak at that one spot on the tower base where it rotates. It comes and goes and is inherent with a model like this where the weight of the fan and pivot base is heavier on the top than what the bottom supports - note this is how my first Honeywell allergy-reducer-model-tower started to give up the ghost. The LED lights are bright when the room lights are off. When oscillating -2 lights are as bright as a night light - I've considered throwing a dark sock over them to shield their brightness whenever I find myself tossing in bed with eyes wide open. Out of the box comes (2) pre-filters - the first is their standard filter and the second is an odor filter. If your's was anything like mine - toss the 1st one because it smelt awful - it had that chemical smell to it - as if the plastic fumigated the filter while it was still in the box, baking away in some Amazon warehouse during record heat. I almost returned this product due to the smell - no matter how long I thought venting the filter would fix it - it did not. The second pre-filter however after a few hours - no problems - works like a charm. Finally - note that the (1) long permanent filter you clean - t's long - too long to soak / rinse in my sink that i had to use my bathtub. Past models I've used had (2) permanent filters divided across the length of the fan. Lastly there is a weight penalty to this model - careful not to drop it or tip it lest it pinches the base and gives you creaks.Overall - great investment - looking forward to it lasting 5yrs or more.

It has massivly reduced the dust and pollen levels in my living room and dining room
Bought this for my office but when I tested it out at home my wife said, "It works really well, it needs to stay here". It has reduced the dust and pollen levels to almost nothing in our living room and dining room (about 300 SQ feet). Cleaning is a breeze, but when you remove the filter from the unit, be careful of the electrostatic contacts on the sides... You can get a pretty hefty jolt if you are not paying attention.

Works great on cat box odor and dust!
I am very happy with this air cleaner. I have it in my basement in the room with the cat boxes. It has drastically cut down the odor and dust. I have had it running 24 hours a day for the past 3 months and have not needed to clean the filter yet. I bought a second unit (the smaller version) to place in my son's bedroom and it has helped with his seasonal allergies. And the price from Amazon was significantly lower than the big box stores in my hometown. Highly recommended!

Product is good: not really sure about its effectiveness
first one I purchased began to lose its light on the buttonless switches2nd one did not have similar problem3 Not sure how effective this filter really is: We tend to use it more as fan+filter but the front where the "clean air" goes out off have collected dust--so not sure why the dust gets thorough the filter if the "static charged" filter that supposedly traps dust. The pre-filter does accumulate dust fairly quickly so it must also be working.

DO NOT BUY!!!! AirCleaner emits a horrid plastic gas smell that will not go away
I STILL have not been able to use the product. The plastic-gas smell burns my throat. My mother, who is not sensitive to any smells, cannot be in the same room as the Honeywell AirGenius. She is 75 years old, she walked over and picked up this heavy air cleaner and took it into the back yard! The smell was not apparent when we opened the box. It started after I turned it on. I did install the 3rd "extra" VOC (volatile chemical) filter. The filter compartment did not want to snap closed, the fit was too tight. Then, the plastic parts of the snap area, on the back, were so flimsy and thin, I thought I would break the parts off, by simply closing the filter door! I guess the other reviews on here about "cheap plastic" and horrid smell are right :(UPDATE: Amazon was awesome, in allowing me to return this product, and was prompt at giving a full refund! Thank you Amazon. I continued to allow this AirCleaner to off-gas in a large room, allowing it to run on high (#3 setting). Even after a week no one could enter that room without being over come by cheap grade plastic's gasses, that were still coming off of this product. DO NOT BUY! CHEAP PLASTIC LETS OFF GAS THAT MAKE THE AIR NOT BREATHABLE.
