Love the concept, hate the flavoring
This stuff WORKS. There's a slight learning curve but this stuff is legit. Once it's on, it's on. All day long, I can eat, drink, talk, even push on it with my tongue and it's not going anywhere. It is VERY noticeable though. Bright, bright white color which just makes my teeth look awful. Luckily I don't need it on brackets that are super visible because it looks like you've got gum caught in your brackets. The flavor isn't strong but it's very artificial and kind of gross, luckily it fades pretty quickly. The directions say "pea-sized" amount. How big is a pea? Bigger than I need to cover my brackets. I squeeze out about 2mm from each side and it's the perfect amount.

Works great
This stuff is great! Easy to use. Stays on for long periods of time even while eating. Molds to your braces and peels off when ready to discard!!

Way better than wax
My daughter has been through it with braces; she’s had them since she was 9 along with a palate expander and herbs device to push her jaw forward. The amount of sores she gets is awful.. we do salt water rinses, and wax never sticks good enough. This works amazing. Thanks to another parent recommendation, you dry the area first. Use a pea size amount, roll together and place. It should set up all within two minutes, and it stays! Much thicker than wax. Making a good boundary. Pretty easy to pop off especially with the little sticks it comes with. Not to mention this last round for her, a wire was sticking out that we couldn’t get to. This is expensive but worth it. There’s not a lot so you may go through it quickly depending on your needs.

Great product
This does not break down from saliva and it stays on my braces until I take it off. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because it cost $15.00 and you don’t get much in the tub so it does not last long

Does the Trick for My Orthotic Posts
I have a special TMJ wire orthotic in my upper palate that has little posts on each side that stick out really far from my teeth and tend to dig into my cheeks when I talk. Wax wasn't really helping because of the large amount of space between the post and the tooth. The Gishy Goo is a better option for this because I can roll it into a little ball and stick it right on top of the post and once it hardens (which takes about 30 seconds) it generally stays in place pretty well for a lot longer than wax. I did not find that the area had to be completely dry before placement as other users have stated. I was able able to easily remove it later using a dental pick tool that I bought at Walmart. If the Gishy Goo becomes dislodged on its own, however, it's not reusable like wax... you can't just stick it back on. It's a hard rubbery ball at that point and not malleable anymore. Also, I noticed I had a hard time getting both pastes to come out of the tubes evenly at the same rate. The white paste always wanted to come out a whole lot faster than the peach-colored paste. I would have to clamp my finger over the opening for the white paste to get more of the other paste to come out. Gishy Goo only seems to come in a “tooth-colored” version, which ends up looking like I’ve pocketed a piece of peach-colored chewing gum into each cheek when I talk or smile. I wish it was more clear-colored or grayish. And then there’s the price... I just got the tube of Gishy Goo 2 days ago and over half of it is already gone, mostly from a bit of trial and error. If you plan to try this, buy a couple of tubes to start with because you might use most of the first tube just trying to figure out how it works. I plan to use the Gishy Goo for the posts but will use something else, like OrthoDots, for the traditional brackets. This is probably the only way I’m going to be able to afford it.

Product is a life saver
Couldn't be happier with Gishy Goo. For a week and a half while on vacation, I had the end of a wire on my bottom braces that was just ripping apart my mouth. It was so sore and made eating and drinking a pain. I tried dental wax but found it would work for a few minutes at a time before it eventually wore off and moved. This product has allowed my mouth to heal. I know the product says to not eat or drink with it in, but I've had no issues and will keep doing it until my next orthodontic appt next week. Just drink/eat on the opposite side of the Gishy Goo. Couldn't recommend this enough!

Made a temp crown!
I bought this for my daughter's braces last year and it was great as a more permanent solution to wax. Fast forward to now... I am in the process of getting some crowns and my temp crowns lasted a day. Now my tooth nubs are completely exposed and very sensitive. I used this compound to create my own temp that is far more comfortable than what the dentist made. 10/10 recommended
