These things ROCK
They already have the interface for the arduino TX an RX. Great Range too. I have the transmitter in the basement and 2 flights up I am controlling a cheap DMX light

I use these boards for robotics control
These are great for controlling animatronics and lighting wirelessly. I make my own control boards using Arduino and a MAX485 chip and then slap one of these on to make it wireless. These are great for use anywhere from Halloween effects to theme park quality animatronics.

Receiver works as described, compatible with DONNER/etc wireless DMX transmitters
Receiver mode works as described to interface with 2.4GHz DMX systems using the common 126 Channel & 7 Group standard. (That's most inline XLR transmitter/receivers from China that come with the same "color code" LED system, such as 'Donner' or 'Chinly'.) It works fine for me at 70+ft range through three stage walls, without interference or loss of connection. I have not tested it as a transmitter. The output header with supplied pigtail cable exposes 3 DMX pins (D+,D-,GND), along with a required +5V supply (relative to DMX GND). However these wires are colored oddly, with GND on yellow and +5V on black. 5V can instead be supplied across 2 of the (unpopulated) 0.1" pin headers, which also expose 2 UART pins; I have not scoped these but believe they carry (5v, nondifferential) signals from the onboard microcontroller to/from the RS485 driver (which is a TI SN75176B). If so, these pins might be useful for using this board in a purely 5V logic environment, bypassing the RS485 and DMX PHY to communicate with the wireless chip using plain UART. I am giving the product 4 stars instead of 5 because of the general lack of documentation. I believe all of these color-coded 2.4GHz DMX devices from China ultimately are clones of the Techni-Lux AC-WTLX512/PK; its datasheet is available from the manufacturer and covers transmitter, receiver, and "alternate protocol" (fixed-link) mode.

Definition Of 4 Pig Tail Cables
I agree with all of John's review. He mentions the colored cable ambiguity. Can the suppler provide a definitive definition of each of the 4 cables? In the unit that I purchased, when I apply +5VDC to the RED cable, and GND to the BLACK cable, the unit does not function. So, either my unit is malfunctioning, or I have the incorrect information regarding unit power up. Please provide RED, BLACK, YELLOW and WHITE cable definition.
