Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition - Xbox One

If you enjoy open world games. This one's for you! Dying light allows for the player to explore various weapons and updates. Easy to put several hours in just upon searching for secrets. One of the best games I've ever played. Different ideas for a zombie apocalypse.

The Enhanced Edition is totally worth buying. I enjoyed the original campaign especially the Old Town. Buildings are taller and Old Town as whole looks aesthetically more pleasant than the Slums district. The Following is a great addition to the original story. You get your own buggy and a CROSSBOW (Daryl Dixon!!!!!!!!!)I recommend this game to anyone willing to spend 30+ gameplay hours in a zombie world. Parkour is a pleasant and handy addition. Overall, this game looks like a finalized version of Dead Island (it is made by the same people). After finishing the story I don't think there is anything worth doing in the game though.Good Night Good Luck

One of the best zombie games I've ever played. Maybe even the best.My first run through the campaign was honestly a nightmare. I thought the combat was clunky, and the zombies were too strong. This was on normal mode, and I had yet to get used to the dodging, grappling, and parkour mechanics. 80% of the campaign I spent spamming molotovs and firecrackers, just to get my skills leveled up. I felt like I was so weak most of the time. But my second run through, and this is on the hardest difficulty, "Nightmare" with all my skills from my first run...(I'm only on the 4th story mission I believe) It's soo much more fun. I can run/climb faster, outrun and conquer any horde of zombies, pick very hard locks in a group of them without getting hurt, and sneak insta-kill them at will. The fast zombies(Virals) are still quite the annoyance, but I can handle 3-4 at once, as oppose to getting killed by 1-2 on NORMAL. Great game, ending was kinda "meh", but i'd give i a 9. BUY THIS IF YOU LOVE SURVIVAL HORROR.

I'm kind of a strange zombie-gamer. I like zombies, like them even more when I'm shooting them or swinging a baseball bat at them but a lot of the zombie-based games don't interest me. That's not the case with Dying Light: The Following. This and oddly enough "7 Days to Die" are my favorite zombie games. Dying Light is more than a typical zombie game. There's quite a bit of exploring, complete with the timed/rushed feeling, there's parkour, kind of like playing Assassin's Creed without the restraints. It's a lot of fun to play by yourself. I think that's why a lot of zombie games don't interest as much. Seems like most are multiplayer. It's hard to believe but you can get a solid 100 hours out of this version of Dying Light. It's one of my top underrated games of the current generation.

This game is simply defined as Dead Island on steroids, the parkour allows for a much more dynamic exploration of the game and allows for a more non combative choice when rushing to a air drop or other random encounter vs beating or hacking through a horde of infected. It also allows you to easily dispatch the more dangerous infected instead of worrying about being grabbed up and eaten while also being smacked around. Combat could be a little less stressful when fighting crazed survivors who literally block all of your attacks and still manage to hit you after tacking a heavy ass hammer to the temple... Other than that the combat system is okay, some minor adjustments could be made but over all the game is long, the graphics are good, the enemies are numerous and there's large amounts of weapons to grab. Overall anyone who has a thing for vast games are probably gonna enjoy this game as a whole however if you're the type of gamer to get frustrated easily I recommend you refrain from combat and stick to the building tops.

Dying Light is a game that grows on you and gets better as it goes but why does a game like that deserve four stars? The reason why is that it has received countless updates and with this edition of the game, you get so much more than the original. The Following DLC adds to the map and story missions to the game itself. Overall, Dying Light: Enhanced Edition is a great buy for the price.What has stood out most to me in this game in the feeling of dread at night time. Not often do we get an open-world zombie game set in first person but it keeps you alert. Especially playing with headphones on, I find myself constantly turning around to see if there is actually something behind me. Another great part is that the world is more diverse thanks to the Following add on and that helps prolong the game.Though the story can get a little predictable at times, I would argue that you are playing this game to traverse the environment and fight zombies instead of getting an oscar-worthy script. Speaking of the movement system, though it make running around the map fun, it can be tedious at times and can leave you getting caught by a fast moving zombie is the button doesn't work properly.****I like to recommend games in my reviews and if you like the movement system in this game, you should try the latest  Mirror's Edge Catalyst - Xbox One . Opening up the world from the first game, EA brings us back to the futuristic, par core gameplay while also giving Faith a little more story. I realize the story is a polar opposite, but the gameplay would be familiar after playing Dying Light.Overall, if you need a zombie game and Dead Rising is a little too cheesy for you, grab Dying Light. There is more horror here than one might think and I didn't even get to the part where you can play this online with friends. There is a lot here to keep you playing for the price and if anyone has told you otherwise, ask how long it's been since they have played it because there has been a lot of new parts added.I hope you give it a try!
