Fits without the need to sand
I haven't surfed on it yet but this was better than a similar competitors that needed to be sanded to fit. I've never had a plastic fin before, only plexiglass, so no idea if it will perform yet. But it passed the fit test and was easy to install. Bonus it had a cover.

Great fin - nearly perfect for a Perception Hi Life 11
Review only from the perspective a nonstandard use. I'm sure it is great for its intended application as well.I needed a replacement fin for a Perception Hi Life 11ft hybrid that was outright missing its fin. This size of SBS fin is an exact fit in terms of the hole for the thumbscrew, the 'foot' part of the base, base width and length, and general fitment in the fin box. What does not match, if you're wanting to use it for a Hi Life, is the supplied thumbscrew. What comes with this fin is a M4x0.7 screw and nut, and a high-quality set at that. What the Hi Life's body-mount nut needs however is a 10-32. Additionally, the Hi Life's fin box is slightly too short for where the supplied nut requires it to be situated in the fin box. This slight misfit is due to the inside angle of the box housing, which obstructs the new nut from fitting directly below the thumbscrew hole. Thus to make the SBS fin work with the supplied nut and screw, you're either boring a new hole a little bit back from where the Hi Life built-in nut is situated, or you're supplying your own 10-32 thumbscrew and using the Hi Life's body-mount nut. Either way would work and let you enjoy this nice fin.Again, this is an admittedly nonstandard use for a great fin, and I'm very happy to have found this product. I used a 10-32x0.75" screw with a small stainless washer topped with a small rubber washer to hold the metal washer onto the screw. This worked great for a couple hours of testing on a choppy lake, and on another outing for a 5-mile adventure in mixed conditions. The screw I chose to use keeps this from being a tool-less solution, but it beats the heck out of the alternatives if obtaining a replacement Hi Life fin is slow.To summarize in case anyone else is wanting to find a Perception Hi Life 11ft hybrid kayak replacement fin: this fin itself fits perfectly in the Hi Life, and in fact it could be the same one that comes with the Hi Life. What's different is the thumbscrew; to secure the fin with no drilling, you will need to supply either a new 10-32 screw (appx thread length 3/4") or use the thumbscrew that presumably came with your Hi Life. In the latter case, this fin is an exact fit. In the former, it's up to you to locate a thumbscrew you like, and a washer. The washer is appropriate to keep the thumbscrew (or screw head) from damaging the plastic shoulder of the Hi Life fin box.

In Flat conditions it is tracking much better with much less need for redirection
I bought this merely to have as a Backup fin, but now it is on the board full time. When my original fin fell off and I was lucky to retrieve it, I decided to always keep an extra in the truck just in case it gets permanently lost. However, this fin is a bit heavier and a tad longer than the one on my Tower Adventurer 2 (early model). First time out in choppy lake conditions I could tell Boardwas more stable. In Flat conditions it is tracking much better with much less need for redirection. The Hand tightening screw is very convenient. Have used it in New England lakes and rivers 16 sessions and it has never fallen off or come loose. Great way to enhance the Board for a small cost.

Replaced perception HiLife 11 fin
Replaced a lost perception hilife11 fin. Go to local hardware story for a 10/23 1inch screw (ideally with wing nut on top) for the screw if you need a replacement for that. Worked great.

"specifications" are not the measurement/See "dimensions"
Pretty bummed to have to send this back. Do not consider "specifications" the measurements to determine the fit.

Direct Replacement Part for Bic Performer Board!
I have a Bic Performer 10'6" board, and this fin is a direct match for a replacement fin part. Easy to install on my board, firm grip in the track using the provided screw, solid construction, really polite customer service email immediately after the sale, super cooled company website with lots of information, and I'm so glad to have found this replacement part. Looking forward to getting back out on the water post-lockdown to test it out but it seems like it will be Surfs Up then!

Great value and fits my C4 Waterman SUP
Hunted high and low for a center fin for a used C4 Waterman, 10' 6" SUP that I bought without fins.Couldn't find anything that told me it would fit and the C4 site sucked royally without any info either. This fin fit well though I did have to file down the two brass pegs at the back of the fin base in order to fit the track inside the fin box. After that, it fit perfectly. The fin looks good and I'm confident it will do the job well. The fin came quickly...I'm a happy camper
