Yummy beans!
Aside from being a little on the pricey side, these beans make some truly enjoyable coffee. We use them in our espresso machine and they have a bold but smooth flavor that stands up to mill-bases drinks like lattes. Great hotbor iced. Blanaced and not too acidic.

Excellent Coffee, Excellent Value
As a coffee enthusiast, I’ve tried countless subscriptions, always chasing the perfect espresso. Dark roasts don’t cut it, so I was thrilled to find Mayorga Coffee on Amazon—finally skipping the hefty shipping fees.Buying coffee on Amazon is usually a gamble—stale, dry beans are the norm—but these arrived fresh, glossy, and packed with flavor. The rich crema was a great sign, and the first sip took me straight back to Chiapas, Mexico—bold, earthy, and lightly fruity. For the price, it’s a fantastic espresso blend—vibrant, balanced, and a steal compared to specialty subscriptions.

New Favorite
When the delivery arrived I did as I always do with coffees I know I’m going to review. I opened the box, inspected the bag, opened the bag and took a really deep sniff of the coffee. This Mayorga Artesano coffee exhaled an enticing bouquet of aromas, I took another deep inhale through both my mouth and nose, something I learned from world class tasters judging spirits. I couldn’t resist. I emptied my grinder, rinsed and dried its parts and my Moccamastet carafe, grabbed the zero filter filtered water jug and I brewed a full pot. What a terrific homey, warm taste this coffee produces. As it’s brewing it blooms wonderfully and the aroma fills my entire place. The taste does the same. I make the coffee the same way I do all the coffees I drink, a scoop of powdered cream a scoop of Splenda a vigorous stir then it rests till it’s cooled to drink temps. The earthy mocha amber brew that filled the carafe was a celebration of flavors. Just terrific. I wanted more after it was gone. And since, when I start to get the 3 o’clock blues, I hit the button on the grinder and start an afternoon brew. I appreciate flavors, not because I am an expert, I appreciate flavors because I slow down and take the time to experience the flavors without any preconceived ideas. Taste is relative to the taster. For me, this will be a buy again and again. Terrific.

Coffee heaven
The Aroma smells like fresh coffee and tastes amazing. My spouse and mother were big fans of DD and Cuban coffee. I wanted to find them healthier coffee not spread with pesticides. Win-win for everyone.

Not keen on this one
The Artesino just wasn't for me, which was a surprise. I loved their winter dark roast, so with all all the other positive feedback I expected it to be very smooth. However this medium roast I found to be excessively heavy with a good robust quality, but with a bitterness that overpowered whatever flavor was supposed to be there. This was especially true when I brewed with my Aeropress, but it helped to not grind the beans as finely as usual. Drip coffee was a little better, but still not to my liking. Maybe it was just the batch? I'll probably buy this brand again though.

Another Good Organic Coffee
The wife and I love our coffee in the morning and go through the time consuming process of grinding fresh beans and using a French press to go through our morning ritual. We make two, 14 oz. cups every morning and sometimes in the evening with a snack. With a minimum of 28-oz of coffee a day, we go through a lot of coffee beans. Local grocery stores sell whole bean coffee, but the flavor is just not very good or fresh tasting, so we have to go to the Internet to get quality coffee. The nice thing about Amazon is that there is a nice choice of different brands, and the reviews of others who have purchased the coffees help us to choose interesting looking beans to stock up on. Plus, the prices are great and you can usually get bigger bags.We have tried several brands of coffee from Amazon sellers and they were all good coffees. We like to experiment with new brands, so, this was our first chance to try the Mayorga Organics brand. A nice thing about this brand is that it comes in a 2-pound package so it will last longer, and we don't have to buy multiple smaller bags at usually more dollars than a single large bag costs. This is a medium coffee but it tends to be on the more bold side to us. Our first time brewing, after grinding the beans, we let the hot water sit in the French press for 4 minutes before pressing and pouring the coffee into our cups. The result was a little more strong and bitter than we like, but the taste was still good. The next time we made our coffee, we let the coffee sit only 3 minutes in the French press before pressing and the result was perfect for us. So, it depends on how strong you like your coffee when using a French press. Longer time in the press means stronger coffee.I would be interested in trying some other versions of Mayorga coffees like their Roastmaster's Blend the next time I order. This one was a winner for us.
