Zombicide is always a win..but Romero mode is something different
First, disclosure, we are a Zombicide family. I have played this game system with my son and daughter hundreds of times over the last ten plus years. We really enjoy it. It was easy to teach them when they were in elementary school, but it has definitely scaled as they have gotten older. Black Plague is probably our favorite. This game is fairly similar to previous iterations overall, but at least one huge difference...Romero mode!! I'm not 100% we are doing it correctly..but basically your survivors can be either Zombicders (awesome or over the top zombie killers) or be triggered into Romero mode*...which is kind of like a more tranditional setting. The zombie types, walker, brute(fattie), and a new breaker type. Breakers are kind of neat..they can take down the barricades...which is normally how you keep zombies out.Miniatures are good, lots of them. I picked this game up for around 60 dollars USD and it was a no brainer. I would probably still feel good about this purchase at full retail. Speaking of miniatures...I fully recommend to prime them black...drybrush them grey and maybe put a matte wash over them. If this is greek to you, just give it a search on youtube. Painting board game pieces has really elevated our experience in these games.*Romero mode has its own versions of survivors...loved that!!

Awesome fun time
This game is fairly easy to learn and set up. The game is fun and a little different each time. I personally enjoy the fact that it's cooperative so no one flips the board over from losing, haha. The only thing I don't like is the constant switching to and from Romero mode. So we just created our own rules to cope with that. This game is a must for any fan of the movie.

A Zombicide Game
I have always loved zombies. I was only 6 when my mother allowed me to watch Romero's Night Of The Living Dead. That movie didn't scare me, but definitely made me nervous when going outside at night to feed our dogs or to take out the trash. Wondering if there was a zombie out there waiting for me. I bought this game before I knew it was a Zombicide game. It plays very well and easy and fast paced. It comes with a lot of miniatures and it can be played in the normal Zombicide mode which is basically all out war and then back to Romero mode. I love the fact that this game uses the actual characters from the original movie and the character cards are black and white making them more thematic with the movie and then switching to the Zombicide mode which is in color and allows you to become more powerful and able to take out more zombies. The switch between the two moves very smoothly and goes well with each character. The games difficulty can be tuned up or down depending on play style by just removing or reducing the amount of high numbered cards in the Night Of The Living Dead deck which all have numbers in the upper right hand of each card. My first playthrough destroyed me because I own Zombicide Black Plague and assumed that this game would be similar. It is very easy to become overwhelmed by zombies if you underestimate them which I did at first. The game is tile based and the scene that you choose will tell you how to set up each encounter. If you have ever played any other Zombicide games, this is a lighter version of them. There is more searching and because the game follows the theme of the movie, there is more to do than destroy zombies. This is definitely my favorite Zombicide game and it is very fun during the Halloween season. My kids get into this one around that time as does my game group. I highly recommend this game if you are a fan of any Night Of The Living Dead movies or Walking Dead.

1st zombicide game purchase
I'm not crazy about the zombie genre but Night of the Living Dead is my favorite horror movie. This game was fun! The mechanics were fairly intuitive once I wrapped my head around the basics and the rulebook structure. I was glued to the rule book first play through but then the gamr play starts to have a nice rhythm. The miniatures and box design are a very welcome cherry on top.

If you like Zombiecide this is a must have
This game is a great mix of the Zombicide series and the Night of the Living Dead series. My ONLY complaint is that sometimes its hard to switch back and forth from Zombiecide and Romero mode, but other than that, this game is awesome and perfect!

Lots of fun. Tense.
This is fun and tense game. It's easily to add house rules. The initial playthrough is a small learning curve. The rulebook has quite a bit of information to absorb, but it is explained in great detail with lots of illustrated examples. Overall, a great experience and a fantastic tribute to George A Romero's classic film.

Not the best Zombicide
I own several versions of Zombicide and at face value this is my least favorite. Aesthetically it's beautiful and does take you back to the movie, but the character dynamics are kind of clunky, constantly switching play modes, some of the missions do not play well and unless you modify the player decks it's super easy. It's better when you are with intelligent gamers and you come up with missions of your own.
