Caring for him in a "traditionally" build house was not easy, actually it was a nightmare. One doesn't think of these things when they are young and healthy, but wait until life slap you with health problems, then dealing with it's short comings become a daily battle. Now intend to move and build my "last" aging friendly home (society has changed, caring for aging family is too much work). Will use the info in this book to help keep from making mistakes that that might not be easily overcome. It is a "small" book, but the info is essential for planning purposes. Additional observation: The handicapped showers as configured in this book are too small considering when one may need help while showering. Having a handicapped shower that will accommodate 2 people, one seated and the other standing (CNA) makes the task easier.
