Excellent scribe, and a bit more.
Was extremely surprised. At the price I was like... why not. But, these work so well I gave one to a friend, so ordered a few more. Wonderful. So much better than a pencil or many other markers. Something about them has the feel of being a woodworker... and a ninja! :) If... that's... just a little imaginative 'boy' fun. It's nice when life is fun. I have three, for when I invariable "lose" one, or two... Meh.

Great Carbon Steel Engineers Style Scriber
I purchased this product to use for pistol maintenance. It is stout, and I believe it will hold up well over time. The ECLIPSE E222 Carbon Steel Engineers Style Scriber is worth the asking price. I recommend it.

Must have tool.
Bought it to replace my missing one. Found the missing one when this one came in the mail. Now I have two. It's about an inch shorter than the standard, but its extremely well made. Great tool.

Does Not Mark Well
Don’t know why, but this tool doesn’t mark well. I got clear scribe lines on tool steel with my older scribe made by General Tools, and this scribe made no line to speak of. Even with two passes the line was very slight. I could feel a mark, but it was very hard to see without a raking side light. The line made by the General was much clearer and easy to feel and see. The points were very sharp it seemed to me. It just doesn’t work. Might be good for wood. AD2
