Great addition to the RC-3 looper - works without need for power supply.
Best foot switch for the RC-3 looper. I tried hard to find a cheaper alternative to this but none had the RC-3's full foot switch functionality - only the stop function worked with another cheaper but still reputable product, the memory slot shift on the second button did not work. This FS-7 just works. Boss did it again I am afraid I have to admit. This pairs great with the RC-3 looper and enables foot switch enabled single-press stop function as well as shifting up and down the memory slots. I like the memory slot shift as it allows me to record single chord comping on each memory slot and then improvise, deciding ad-hoc when to switch chords. The pedal is very compact yet the two pedals are shaped smartly to just work well. I am glad I did not get the larger FS-6. Also, a fact that I read little about is that the FS-7 does actually not need to be plugged into any electricity supply in order to be fully operable with the RC-3. The momentary switch functionality required to trigger all functions for the RC-3 work without plugging in. I like this as it reduces cable clutter and also run the RC-3 from a rechargeable 9V battery. I run a wireless receiver into the RC-3 IN and a short instrument cable from the RC-3 OUT into my amp... so the RC-3/FS-7 combo is attached only to one cable that goes to the amp.

Adds Versatility to Boss GT Series
I have bought two of these from Amazon. I use one for my Boss GT-1 and I am using the other for Boss GT-100. For Boss GT-1, I have it in stomp box mode connected to my amp FX loop for chorus, flanger, delays. The FS-7 allows me to add two additional stomps. Totally fun for me to use this way, as long as you can figure out how to program the GT-1. Or if you can use it as additional CTL pedals for presets and banks to program boosts or solo presets, the FS-7 will get you there. I bought a second one for use with GT-100 and I know it will work to do the same, just haven’t had time to set it up. Works great and is an upgrade and space saver from using Boss FS-5 and FS-6. This product came with TRS cable that also connects to power, so my GT-1 and FS-7 connect to the same Boss adapter. If you like Boss GT series, you need the FS-7 to expand and explore more possibilities.

Great functionality, well built (FS-7)
The FS-7 is much more compact than the FS-6 (which had too large of a footprint for simple switches). The FS-7 is well built and extremely sturdy- you could easily gig with this. The addition of having 'mode' and 'polarity' switches adds to it's flexibility. The FS-7 requires a power supply for the LED lights- would be nice to have a 9 volt battery option too. Lastly, the top switch is not quite as easily to step on/tap with your foot as the bottom button, but not a big deal Overall, good quality unit. Recommended.

Very versatile, excellent quality
Excellent quality footswitch! One really nice feature is that you can set the switch to work as “normally open” (like most footswitches ) or for those few times you need a “normally closed” switch, this will do that too. It can also be set as “latching” or “momentary”. A very versatile footswitch, and doesn’t take a huge amount of space on your pedalboard. A few more $$ than most, but worth every penny!

Works even without power!
I had just purchased the battery powered Boss FS-6 to control both my RC3 looper and the harmonies on my Cube Street II. I’m trying to keep my setting wire-free so I have everything battery powered but was bothered by the size of the pedal. Then I decided to give the FS-7 a try, hoping to power it with an external 9v battery and it worked. But then I read on the instructions that it can be used even without AC. I was skeptical but I tried and it worked too. Only I can’t control the memory up/down on the looper. I really really hated double stepping on the looper pedal and throwing me off rhythm…or starting overdubbing instead of stopping it. Boss is always the best!

Simple, sturdy, and versatile
I'm using this footswitch to add some additional ways to control functions on my Boss Loop Station. The switch allows you to select whether you want to have the switch work in momentary mode or latch mode and also gives the flexibility to have each individual switch assigned either to one device or split them up (this would take an additional TRS cable). Overall I am happy with it and the only thing that would be a slight knock against it is that is built with the front being thinner than the rear making it wedge shaped (see pic). This cause me a slight issue with the bottom switch being to low if there is a pedal underneath it. It was an easy enough fix by using a wedge doorstop underneath the switch to lift the lower part up and make it level with the rest of the board and making the "B" switch accessible.

A game changer if you have a GT1
This is the perfect solution to have absolute control upon your boss GT1. The onboard Ctl1 does a lot but this pedal enables the ctl 2 and 3 which makes possible to distribute the assignments given by the system across three pedals. They are fully assignable. IMPORTANT: IT DOES NOT NEED BATTERIES TO WORK. I think boss does not stress this condition in the advertisement. You can use the power cable to enable the leds responds as you foot the switches, which would help in a dark stage, but you do not need to worry if you just practicing on your room. It does come with a split cable so you can use the proper gt1 power source to power the FS7 leds. Just buy it and you will love it. Very sturdy and low profile. Worths every penny.

Bought to use with the Boss 505mkii loop station. Can be setup in the loop station settings to do a vast array of actions. Power supply is not needed when using as a monetary switch as I do with the 505mkii. Very compact and feels solid with good weight to it.

Kompakt, solide, prima Taster! Passt auf jedes Pedalboard und nimmt vor allem nicht zu viel Platz ein.
