Would like to make small holes in rocks (difrent kinds) to make jewelry.** A: Yes! Diamond coated drill bits cut through concrete, rock, ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, glass, gemstones, marble, granite, etc. You must keep the gemstone or rock lightly submerged in a pan of water with a piece of wood or rubber below for support. Drill at an angle not at 90 degrees. Once hole has started, gradually tilt the Dremel back to 90 degrees for a straight hole. Some glass may need halfway drilling and repeat on other side to prevent cracking. No pressure, firm hold, angled start, halfway reverse on glass only. **Q: Can these drill into glass products other than seaglass? I would assume so but wanted to check for something such as glass bottles.** A: Jacob, I haven't tried drilling into glass with these. I don't think they are supposed to last forever, and that's why they give you multiples. This is my first experience using these diamond tip bits, so I am not sure how the compare to a more expensive brand. I've only used these so far to etch a gemstone that I needed to fit in a setting and it worked well. The multiple sizes are nice. These attach to a Dremel just like any other attachment would. I like having these bit around because you never know what you will need them for. It's also nice to have tools around as an introduction to other hobbies or jobs that may use them in the future. I don't see how you could go wrong with these, especially with how affordable they are.
