Wonderful product as always. I have a bird who is iron sensitive and this is the only food she can eat.

Mazuri has been a life saver for my iron sensitive bird. I can't praise or recommend it enough.
The Mazuri pellets have been a life saver for my little bird. To our dismay, at his annual vet visit earlier this year, we were given the terrible news that he has iron storage disease. After further discussion with our vet we learned that the iron build up came from feeding him a mixture of cat food and poultry mash over the years. I am beyond heartbroken and desperately wish I had found the Mazuri sooner. It has given me peace of mind that I am providing the appropriate food to cover my little guys nutritional needs, without the worry of excess iron being added to his food. If you have a soft billed bird that is sensitive to iron, PLEASE consider trying the Mazuri. This bird food is especially popular among wildlife rehabbers as well as those that own pet European starlings. I want to add this extra note as an aside for other bird owners. The Mazuri should not be the only thing you feed your bird. It's not meant for that. But it is a MAGNIFICENT addition to to their food. I make a mash for my bird with an abundance of different low iron ingredients. In the morning, when I defrost his mash cups, I add in around 2 tablespoons of the Mazuri pellets. I crush them up in a coffee grinder before hand and then mix them in thoroughly. As a powder it mixes in easily and also has the additional benefit of adding a soft but gritty texture. It gives his food a nicer consistency so that it's not complete mash. Typically, one bag will last me around 3 months, which is amazing for the cost. I get the absolute best value out of this stuff, and that makes it even better than it already is. Another little added bonus is the way the bag closes. It has an airtight seal near the top of the opening, so when you close it you're assured it seals completely and will be fresh for the next time you open it. As for the pellets themselves, they are a bright yellow color. In terms of size, the pellets are around half an inch in length. They are your typical sized pellet and perfect for larger soft billed birds, however, if you have a smaller bird, I recommend grinding the pellets up into powder. It makes it easier for your bird to consume and also ensures they get some of the Mazuri in every bite. To figure out how much Mazuri you need to add to your birds food, there is a handy little chart on the back of the bag that breaks down the appropriate amount to feed your feathered friend based on their weight. Overall, Mazuri has truly been a life saver for me and my bird. I am heartbroken that my little guy will struggle with iron storage disease for the rest of his life, but am beyond grateful that Mazuri exists and that I'm able to add it to his food. My only regret is not finding this bird food sooner. I now recommend it to all my friends and family who have soft billed pet birds.

Healthy and cost effective
Amazing!!! It last so long. I have a European sterling that my children and myself saved as a baby. We were feeding fruit and meal worms but that gets costly and can actually cause problems. Found this fed and it’s been a game changer. Money wise and feeding wise. My sterling absolutely loves it. Plus it actually smells good as well.

Good for myna birds
Myna birds love this bird food. It’s a little expensive so I only put out a little bit for the pair of myna birds that visit every morning. They don’t need much but it’s much healthier than giving them breadcrumbs.
