Great Skinner for Large Game
Great knife, at twice the price. The handle is comfy for large hands, and the size and angle make it great for a skinning knife for deer and larger animals. The blade came sharp enough to field dress and quarter an animal, but if you're serious like me, it takes a scary sharp razor edge if you know what you're doing. It should be fairly weather and blood resistant; as always, keep them clean and lightly oiled. The sheath is well made and holds the knife firmly; trade-off being that it can be noisy, unless you master the thumb-assisted de-sheathing technique. All in all, it is remarkable that a knife of this quality can be made this cheaply. I can't tell you about how it batons or cuts through car hoods or how long it takes to hack a pine tree down with it, because I am a high functioning adult, and also own hatchets, axes, and machetes for such tasks. It is big enough to handle any problem I've ever encountered in mountains or jungles, anywhere, but the right size and angle for the control needed for finesse work.

Don't question it, buy this knife.
Absolutely fantastic quality knife. I had read other reviews on Eafengrow but was skeptical of how good a $30 knife could be. Received the knife and was blown away with the build quality. Solid built and sturdy. It is a beast of a knife. Amazing edge straight out of the box. Comfortable ergonomics and feels perfect in hand. It does not have jimping on the top, however, with the grip shape and angle of the blade off the handle there is zero slip or play. The sheath is awesome and has such a snug fit that locks in place with zero play or wiggle, yet still releases the knife with ease when being deployed. This knife is an absolute steal at $30 and if it had a different name on it would easily be a $150-$200 knife. If you're looking for a good largeish fixed blade, grab this one and you will not be disappointed. Great work Eafengrow.

Great blade, especially for the price
This blade hits well above its price point. It is easily worth $20 more than the $30 I paid for it. I will purchase another for a range bag. Right out of the box it is fairly sharp. A few good passes on a stone will make it like a razor though. The holster is well made and reversable as well. The design of the knife is perfect for camping or survival or to carry every day. Personally, I will get an extra for my range bag. The ergonomics are great too, fits in my hand perfect and has a great feel. Not over grippy on the grips but doesn't slip either. It is a little heavy. Maybe? But to me the weight on it is perfect to be a work horse if needed. Very solid!. Overall, 9/10, would and will buy again.

Pretty good. Couple issues though...
Good blade. Durable, holds an edge well as 99% of any other D2 knife. Snaps in to the sheath well. Very secure. Couple issues though... 1- handle is pretty skinny. Which would be fine if it had a swell/hook or a karambit type ring at the end for a positive and secure draw. As it is now, it's easy for your hand to slip right off the end when drawing from the sheath. That's with dry hands. Any water, oil, or blood will definitely make this harder to draw and wield safely. 2- grip texture is pretty slight. Again, best for dry clean hands. 1911 style diamond texturing would be great here, especially since the grip is so skinny. Any larger style texture would help, but probably not much. Overall, I'd saw this knife is worth all of $35. Not $50+. I would buy again though, if it were on sale lol. I'll be welding a pinky hook on mine for sure.

Real knife guys appraisal.
As a serious knife guy iv got tons of experience. I make them I throw them, collect them even research them. Iv got to say,. This knife really delivers at it's price point. It's made of D2 type steel, which is great for edge retention. So once you get it sharp it will stay sharp even under lots of use. It's also pretty good at resisting rust and doesn't snap very easy. Though it has no flexibility and won't ever bend. the first thing you will notice It's weight. For it's size it's twice as heavy as you might expect. The blade stock is quite thick and full tang. The grips are a dense but precision surfacedpolymer plastic that provide unparalleled grip even in a wet hand. The knife is very attractive and ergonomic. Surprisingly, the knife is well paired by it's sheath system. It is sized perfectly for the knife. It holds itself in extremely well with no rattling. The sheath itself unscrews from the belt clip and can be reattached in any variety of positions vertical, horizontal, left handed, Right handed,. With edge however you like. And the belt clip actually had a switch and button that lets you put it on without undoing your belt. if you want a good knife that doesn't break the bank and will be reliable for decades, this is a good choice.

Great value
Excellent smaller fixed blade but with plenty of heft, think of it as a poor man’s version of an OG Alpha Dog ($100). I agree with the other reviewer that they should thin the stock and not punch out the hole if weight and balance is an issue. Excellent Sheath
