Perfect for winter trail running!
This is the second pair I’ve owned. I wore the first pair for two seasons and some of the traction got worn down. I’m a women’s size 10.5 and got the L-XL. Takes some effort to stretch over my shoe, but they stay on well. I live in Colorado and wear these often for trail running and hiking. Pretty lightweight, I just keep them in my pack during the winter. Put them on, take them off depending on the terrain. Worth the price for sure!

Half-inch of rain and 30 degree temp - mail 200 feet down driveway - strap on Yaktrax
Yaktrax with carbide studs (along with a carbide-tipped hiking pole) are the best way for a senior citizen to stay upright outside with the thaw-freeze cycles we've been experiencing. Get the largest size to work with boots. Solar Bugman

Work Great on Icy Hills!
These work great on snow and ice and even on icy hills! We had a "nice" freezing rainstorm that left us 1/4" or more of ice on everything. The sidewalk and driveway were treacherous! With normal boots, I uncontrollably slid down the driveway. With these on, it was like I was walking on bare concrete! My wife and I were able to walk the neighborhood with the icy sidewalks using these and we never slipped once. They do make a little clicking noise when walking on the bare pavement areas but walking in them is just fine on ice or without ice. I would not wear them inside as they will likely mark up your floor.

Good product, over priced.
Fit boots well. Stay on the boots and are holding up well over the past few months of use. They work well. Every once in awhile your foot will still slide on the ice but it doesn't slide far before the spikes grab. I would have given a 5 star rating but have found these cheaper at Dunhams since I purchased them.

No more ice skating on my driveway!
Order bigger than you think. My shoes size is 8.5 women's but my daughter who reccomended these said order the larger ones. They fit. I do need to make sure they're not slipping off. I don't know how they would be if I was actually hiking in them. I only really use them to shovel my driveway that's on an incline. Zero slippage! I can shovel with confidence & get it done without being as worried about slipping.

Great for walking on ice
When I moved to Central Oregon, the first thing my friend did was take me to the sporting goods store to buy YakTrax. She was so right because we have lots of very icy mornings. In the first year, however, I “walked through” several pairs of the popular coil style YakTrax before I found this spiked style also by YakTrax. They have small spikes on the bottom which have as good or better a grip icy sidewalks than the coil style, and they last longer. I’m now in my second season with the same pair of YakTrax spikes and have bought more - not because they’re wearing out quickly, but because I like to leave them on different pairs of walking shoes so they’re ready to go. The biggest problem I’ve had is that the coil style is easy to find whereas this spiked style is not. I can’t understand why these are so difficult to find or why the coil style is so much more popular! Yes, the spikes do wear down over time but they are far outlasting the coil style. Some other brands make the spiked style (with much bigger spikes) which work great for tramping across frozen ground, but are very hard on the back and knees when you’re walking on hard surfaces like icy sidewalks. This style of YakTrax spikes still provide a good grip on icy sidewalks but are easier on the back and knees than other spike styles I’ve tried. Be aware that these are a tight fit which they need to be in order to stay on. I wear a women’s size 8 shoe, and the S/M fits on my shoes easily, but I prefer the L/XL for my boots.

Find a different product
Snow Trax used to be great. I live in MN and walk my dog in all conditions. Snow Trax used to last me two seasons of ice , packed snow and occasional cement with our melt, freeze clear spot. I’ve recently bought a new pair expecting to get through the rest of the season and they only lasted two weeks before the spikes wore down. I thought it was a fluke so I bought Sno Trax from Costco and here I am two weeks later and they’re useless. I don’t think they were always owned by the Yak co. Either way find a different product.
